I have a Concern

I am noticing more and more seasoned members making comments to newbies, to "learn the search feature" in alot of cases these statements come across nasty.

As an example: Regarding Mazdaspeed Exhaust,

Go buy one and learn the search function of the website. It's all over the place

I am a seasoned forum owner and administrator and realize the older veterans become testy with the same old questions. One thing people have to realize is the Mazda Protege is becoming more and more popular and like many vehicles people are totally into their cars and want to learn as much about their car as possible. Also, not everyone is an internet user(newbie) or do not fully understand how a forum works.

With the snotty remarks of some to new members, may cause the newbies to get turned off from the site, not feel welcome and therefore not participate. The membership makes a site successful.

A couple of suggestions I have is: Set up a newbie forum which gives easy instruction of the use of the site. Make reccomendations as to how to search, how to use the website, and make them feel welcome.

When folks register to the site, give them a forum's rule link or manual to follow. This will help all members.

Remember, if you do not feel welcome you won't come back. There are always other sites to go to. Take if for what it is worth.
