Ok , I was thinking about this today ,,, not to knock the protege guys but ,, why would you want to give up your fast as hell accord , for a slower Protege, wich granted is a good car, but would not be as fast as your accord with that jdm swap ,... or are you getting it as an additional car,...

I have been in the Honda/Acura scene for several years now, and have learned through many trials of error that if you want a good performing honda your gonna have to spend some cash. The protege handles great for stock and has potential to be modded, which caught my eye. It even looks good, unlike all the new Hondas. I am looking to buy a brand new Commuter car in 2 years and the Protege Mp3 and Mp5 are the only 2 that have proved worthy of my approval. I am gonna try and get my hands on the Mazdaspeed Turbo, but if not, The Mp3 is a great looking sedan with a high quality motor like honda. I am not interested in the Nissan's, I looked at the SE-R for a bit, but nah, not my kinda styling. I can't say i am downgrading to a Protege, because I am getting a great handling car, with equal reliability. My Accord is fast, no doubt, but still.

So you won't sell the Accord right , or are you going to ,. I have been among Honda users and the crowds for a very long time , . I know very well about there suspension , I have done some work on some of them .. civic and 96 and 01 accord, they are all bitches to get the springs off of , but when you put on the aftermarket springs, man do they drop , jeezz, anyway , for me the Ultimate sleeper would be a civic hatchback like a 97 shape, after the egg shape , with a 1.6L DOHC Vtech , Si engine , and Random tech , high flow cat ,, a good ACT racing Clutch , ported head , with high compression pistons , maybe JE , or something , all the feul additives to feed that dreeded speed density system ,. a top of the line , complete coilover package, maybe from Intrax, or H&R ,..
To be honest there would be so many mods , it would not be funny ,.... lol .. all engine work to ,, no flashinesson the outside, .. I want my Protege to be like that
bruce
I really respect you for that H22 conversion , not many people have the guts or balls to do that ,, btw , email me some pics of your car

ahh yes a built up B16a2 would be great in a hatch, however, why not a GSR? or an LS/Vtec Turbo? So many options, we pondered all of those swaps then we went with the h22a in the hatch. Nothing like 12's in stock trim. I agree, the springs are a bitch to get off, and yes these things drop crazy low. I will be selling my accord when I purchase the Mp3. I have a JDM H22a with a nice little GReddy Turbo sitting in my garage, a guy was suppose to pick it up, but he hasn't come through with the cash, debating on throwing it in my car or not. Rightnow i have the JDM F22a (SOHC 2.2L)...Decisions...

So what are you telling me .....
