Some more cruising/RACING in the RX-7
 

So protege menace (john) and I were out cruising tonight..... I let him drive.

We're cruising and we see this what appears to be a riced out integra. Upon closer examination we see it has an nice all white body kit and white wing, and was ACUTALLY lowed the CORRECT WAY :). Anyways we here it peel out and man did the engine sound beasty. This was not your typical honda fart can bumble bee exhaust.... sounded MEAN. Anyways, @ 40mph in 2nd gear @ 4500 RPMs, we both HIT IT HARD and pull him all the way up to around 80. Oh man, It SAID Vtec on the back and it REALLY WAS A VTEC!!! my FIRST ever REAL vtec race :p: It was kinda scary cuz everytime he'd fall back like 2-3 carlengths, i hear this big VRROOOOOOM and a wining (the VTEC) and he'd come up almost even, then fall back in the next gear. Close race, we won by about a carlength.

Next we see this Monte Carlo with dual shiny exhaust and sounding like a badass american V8 muscle car. WE pull up and ask what he got, he says "3.4L exhaust, intake, racing chip." I reply with "1.3L, no turbo, no NOS." You shoulda seen his face LIGHT up with glee... hehe :D So we started in 1st gear at about a 15mph roll and hit it on 3 honks. Well that was the last we ever saw of him... topped out 3rd at around 100 and beat him good by at LEAST 3.5 carlengths. It was kinda funny my car held 3rd for soooo long and i could hear him shift into 3rd... then into 4th (big mean exhaust ringin out) before we ended 3rd gear... hehe


OK, and now for the one i know i will get flamed for... but it's FUCKIN true. We pull up next to this black mustang... says GT on the side in silver badging.... light turns green and neither of us know if we're racing the other person or not. So john hits it at abour 20 mph andwe get a jump of about 1 carlength. Well the mustang follows suit and for the next 60mph we are DEAD EVEN. NEITHER OF US either gained or loss any distance. But then john FUCKED the shift to 3rd and put it in 5th by accident and he went by us. So yeah he won, but if john didnt WOOMZ the shift i'm sure it woulda been dead even the whole way :cool:
