Racin on an Airport

So yea me and my buddies see this airport in the middle of no where right then we decide that it needs some action. So we pull out the scanners and the radios and the camera and have ourselves a little race. Turns out that it's enough for a four car wide race. So we go out there and race. Nothing too exciting just a race. It was between a 1998 Honda Prelude SH, Pontiac Grand Prix (auto pile of!@#$), A 1986 Sabb 900 Turbo, And me a 1997 Mazda Protege LX 1.5l of pure horsepower:-) I thought that's how it would finish too in that order. But the Sabb spun out too much cause he had the turbo way too wound up to start with then he missed second gear. I beat him in like a half mile race by like 5 car lenghts 92hp vs. 182hp hmmm shows how much racing is really up to the driver and not all the car. By the way if your looking for a good place to race and don't want to go to the tracks airports are very smooth kind of feels like your gliding. Highly recomended.
Stay out of cuffs,
LA

drag racing isnt driver skill very much when both drivers are competent.

I don't see airports very often that don't have fences around them and planes around and lots of cops

Drag racing involves just two skills- shifting and pressing the accelerator.

It's basically all car. I don't think a Honda Civic (except for drag racing ones) can beat a Mercedes S65, no matter how good the driver is. All the Mercedes guy has to do is mash the pedal, and he'll be gone.

Auto cross and road course is more driver skill.
