Race night in phx (az) -Long-
 

Alright this is a bit of a long winded story, but if you're bored its pretty funny. So I've been going to hte illegals for over a year now never did a whole lot of racing personally but I've watched and just hung out at meets, but last night i decided i would go up to new river road (which is in the middle of no where) and watch mayberace once or twice. Well abou 30 minutes after egetting ther and about 10 races go by I'm getting ready to go pick out some civic meat for a quick kill when suddenly someone yells cops. Well heres the funny thing that cop was there for at like 30 seconds and NO ONE noticed him. We all ignored hte red and blue lights flashign on everythign on this road that has no other light that hte cars that are actually racing its that deserted. Well with my luck I've never had to deal with the cops before so I'm freakin out cause my friend kenny said its a good idea to park at hte end..guess where the cop was right in front of my car. So me kenny and my friend jeremy hop in my car and again kenny comes through for me and hes like GO LEFt. So i yell back THATS WHERE THE COP IS> And hes liek go left no one else is he wont follow you hes too focused on everyone else and besides it looks like he just wants us to leave. So I go left...bad idea for some reason the cop does a U-turn before even half the cars have bailed out and hes comes after me. This is where we start to near shit out pants. So this cop just turns off his lights and follows me for a while and just as I'm about to hop on the freeway mr. sheriff deputy pulls me over. Oh yah thats a real good feeling when your 17 with 2 other 17 yr olds in ur car watching illegal street races out past curfew. So he comes over and hes like "so guys how are the races tonight...." What were we supposed to say im like will....kinda crappy, so he just kinda laughed took muy license registration and all their IDS as well. He comes back about 5 minutes later while were watching all these ricer flying by us getting away....so anyway he comes back and explains everyhtign he could get us for but for some reason he decides to be nice and lets us go. (I was shaking for about 3 hours after that, whther that be from immense relief or still being scared crap). So anyway we decide to go back to circle K and see if all our friends made it out OK, when someone calls kenny's cell and says someone flipped their car.. now im really worried casue htey said it was a car that was doign well over 100 and pulled their e-brake, now that doesnt sound like my friend josh would so somethign that dumb but they described it as looking a lot like his talon. Well when we got back to circle K we found out it wasnt anyone we knew luckily, but heres the best part it was some prick in an RX-7, some dumbass ruined his RX-7....WTF as soon as I heard that I wanted to punch him in the face so hard, and i probably would've had I known who it was. After that there were cops in almost every place 2 or more "racers" seemed to be together in any parking lot, I've never sene so many damn oinkers in the whole time I've been going out there WTF.

man that sounds like the last night that we had street races back in 2001. The cops came just like you said they did there. And he let us all go and we went back to the spot and then someone wants to race drunk and ramp the kirb and make his car look liike the back to the future machine! You know with the folded wheels and all. Well needless to say that was the last night for that spot and any racing in North alabama for that fact, for a long time. Up until now. HE he he he

lolol, man I can't tell you all the crazy stories i've heard about the times I've missed the races. A few months ago apparently a CRX decided to run from the cops, he wound up turning down a dead end and floored it into a wall doing about what was it 90 i think....and people wonder why the cops know all the spots, even the deserted ones, and I wanna know why people don't get some brains and help me find new spots, I found 1 awsome one but no one sits near high enough to get through the escape outlet cause its light dirt road that links to about 50 other dirt roads where you could lose cops so easily but they got a few hills that will kill all the cut spring civics lol.

hey tyrael have you ever been to south mountain? i went there a few months ago i was dying for an evo or a STi racing down the mountain would be so sweet!!!!!

personally i haven't been that far south but I know what your talking about, theres deffinatly interesting places in phoenix for all kinds of crap. I could only imagine what those to cars could do on some of the mountains iwth roads. I live way up north tho if you know where lake pleasant is, all you owuld have to do is go straight south (if u could go through those mountains) for about 9 miles and poof u would be at my house. Actualyl lake pleasant area is where a lot of races happen, unfortunatly the cops have long caught on to that place, time for me to continue the hunt for new spots.(i love how everyone complains about the cops always being at hte spots but no one is willing to help find new ones) :rolleyes:

oh ok yeah i'm not exactly sure where lake pleasant is are you in phoenix or somewhere else?

peoria its practically northwestern phoenix, im like right on the city borders. its a fast developing little suburb area up here

well if u hop the 101 can get from scottsdale rd. to my house in about 20 or so minutes 15 if ur going fast. so yah its a bit of a ways but im out that way more than anything, my racer friend john with that ugly 91 protege in my wing pics lives on 56th ave and bell which is out in scottsdale, and my other friend kirk lives out there too.

oh ok yeah when i'm out there usually i stay at 78th and mcdonald so i'm in that genral area
thats kool i'm supposed to be back out there pretty soon so maybe we could meet up or sumthing

I dont have the turbo in yet unfortunatly =( but i would love to find out what my stock numbers look like, well i gotta cat-back and intake but i dont think thats going to make much difference.
