Pro vs Pro...

Driving on the freeway today and what comes up next to me and then passes me, giving me a good long looksie.....a 1st gen Pro LX with a coffee can muffler.....

We wiggle thru traffic a little, not racing, just normal driving...and then switch freeways and the the road opens up....i was a bit ahead and then i see him coming up FAST behind me.....he got about 2 cars from me and i dropped it hard into 3rd (going 70) he pulled to the left to go around me but never made it....i pulled him by 4 or 5 cars by the time i shifted into 5th....i slowed up at my exit and waved him to exit with me....but i don't think he saw or didn't care....

:bt:

I think I was just commenting on the fact I haven't seen a modded Protege anywhere in the milwaukee area. There was one MP3 sold (the day it arrived!) at the local Mazda dealership, but other than that, most hot Imports I see out on the street are sticker-clad rice-boy Civics, though I have seen a few seriously fast machines.

Camaraderie......... in french Camarade (noun) means a friend, buddy..... Camaraderie means something along the lines of 'friendship' so English took either that word or 'Komrad' which is in Russian something like fellow, or friend and transformed it meaning

ex. There's good comraderie on that team.....

meaning all the players get along

 :D

good story teller. i like details and the "hard down shift to third." But not to sound rude, why would anyone exit with someone? like i mean obviously you guys are both on the freeway to get somewhere. So why would you want to exit if thats not your exit, i mean you could be late to where your going and stuff. I mean out here in LA, ive never heard of exiting with the person you raced. FOr example, if i take a trip to downtown(bout an hour away), i might race 3 or 4 people, and ill never exit with em cuz i need to go to LA, vice versa(Vice Versa: the feeling is mutual, it goes both ways, the other driver would do the same thing in this sense).

mazdaspeedwest November-18th-2001 01:11 PM

well, i tend to agree, but there have been a few occasions that either i have exited with, or have motioned to exit with me and we have. Depends on the race i guess, the long drawn out ones that don't get stupid in traffic are the ppl i like to talk to. Which also falls under the blanket of comraderie for the hobby/sport/way-of-life. :D

That's what the fast car is for... driving fast to make up for lost time to make sure you're not late...

Besides, you can be driving somewhere without having an appointment. If that's the case, it's well worth stopping to talk to the guy so he knows why you beat him or you know why he beat you... It's all about, well... camaraderie!

Besides, if you're late, you can tell you friends when they ask you why you were late: -You should have seen the face on this guy I smoked on the highway when he saw what I had (or did'nt have) on my car... priceless!!-

Try it once and you'll understand.

Hehe, I guess I don't feel so stupid since Mazdaspeed and Bizob know what I mean.
