notch my first kill

took on a v-8 Tundra on the way home back to back, had him for a car legth thats all the 2nd time same result, I just walked him out of the hole and lost site of him out of my blind side and held it there, I tell you what if you can ride out the clutch just right the turbo spools just about i dont know 10 or 20 feet out of the hole minimizing tire slip and youre right at the right powerband and as long as you dont miss a gear it'll do fine. I know MSP'S arent made to drag but hey you bring what you bring right? oh yeah watch out for manhole covers! especially when you are at top boost and only one wheel catches the cover I almost lost it a couple of days ago.

The first time i raced my 2003.5 titatium grey mazda speed, I raced against a 2001 GMC truck. But this wasn't just a regular truck, it had a '99 corvette engine. This guy had it hooked up. Anyways, he had me at the start and all the way into second gear, but once i got it into third, he was a dot in my rear view.
He still thinks he won.

good kill man.

cosmo420 January-9th-2004 08:22 AM

now I got my second last night I had a run in with a nissan GSr i think anyway It wasnt stock just by listening to the exhaust, and we went from a dig and I pulled by a cars length and held my own even pass the quarter mile and we just kept on going. I don't know about nissan's in all, with all my history in the modern domestic cars,This is my first import and first boost car also, But the street is racing is the same as stoplight holeshot's are concerned and shifting at optimal rpm's

Good kill man, nissans are known to put out high horse powered cars. Like the old 240z and the new sentra spec v. i also raced a new hundai tiburion the other night. i guess he thought he could win because he had GT V6. My four banger pretty much smoked his 3.0 liter V6. He might reconsider racing a mazda again.

stupid hundai. i've done that quite a few times here in columbus. i always get a kick out of it. neon's are alot of fun to crush too.

adam pate January-28th-2004 04:52 PM

Yes sir. I wouldn't race the new SRT-4 neon's. They are pushing 230 to the wheels, stock. Compared to our 170-185. The sticker on the mazdaspeeds say 170, but dyno's say 185. Anyways, yes it is fun to race little neons, tiburons, and civics that think their bad.

Here's a strange one for ya. Right before I got my 03 protege es I was driving around in an 1987 ford escort. (ouch) I was sitting at a stoplight in columbus and a 1998 ford mustang gt pulls up next to me. There's a good looking chick driving it, and she revs her engine at me. I just sat there laughing because I'm sitting in this old POS ford escort with well over 100,000 miles. I told myself the heck with it and when the light turned I hamered the gas. I ended up peeling out and crushing this chick. When we both got to the next light, her jaw was in her lap. I couldn't even believe it. That poor old car still had some life left in her. I'd like to give her a try in the protege though. Then she would be in trouble.

Here's something kinda like that too. I pulled up beside a second generation eclispe that had all the bells and whistles. He had it hooked up. I was the first one to the next stop light as well, and he could not believe it. Just comes to show you, it's all on who's driving the car.

Probally the funniest thing happened this summer. I was going to the gas station in an MPV that we had sold. I was sitting at the stop light and these two kids pulled up in an accord. It sounded like it had some work done on it. Mostly a fart can on the back. They thought they were hot stuff. Well, the light changed and I put the hammer down. Let's just say this, I don't think they will ever race again. Especially, since they got spanked by a minivan.
