Not listening. That is a unique one off car. All the fast mr2s are stock block. 3sgtes same rally proven engine from the gt4 celica. The v6 was a project someone did to be different. The 3sgte is a very capable engine. As I've shown you 800 whp renditions. Actually the world record since your 323 is not even in the us either is: I'll dig up but there are faster sw20s in Japan than the USA. The 800 hp one is a drag build it will be turning in time slips shortly. He's not the only one either a couple other shops are finishing up 600-700 whp drag cars as well. Bryan Moore is also running this coming NOPi season looking for consistent 9s. You can check his car on the nopi site. All are 3sgte engines. just to get this through your head so you don't spread any misinfo NO ONE SWAPS TO THE CAMRY ENGINE THE 3SGTE CAN MAKE 800 WHP ON ITS OWN. Now back to the fact that a 200k mile stock unopened un-rebuilt engine is taking 23 psi and running the 1/4 and hill climbs? running 11s, setting road race records.... My own car is taking 15psi on stock fuel/turbo at 123k miles and counting with not a burned drop of oil or hg issue. Spring it gets the t3/t4 and I'm sur eit will happily suck down the big snail's air for another 100k miles. 3sgtes just do that. 3sgte btw thanks for the welcome |
Hey, WTF, you said 323's have a BP05 block, my protege has a BP10 block, does that make any diff?

*why* are we arguing with a troll?

??? Why is there even a comparison ?? Apples to Oranges here guys...rwd mid-engined 2 seater sports car that somes stock turbo'd vs a 4 door econobox ? Of course it's faster....However...don't bring RX-7 into it MR-2 boy....I have seen several RX-7's qualify as worlds fastest street legal car...

Well if you want to go worldwide since these mazdas aren't in the usa.

rx-7 is an awesome car, I would have bought one over an mr2 if they were not so unreliable and constucted with poor quality rear ends, trannies, paint, and interiors. I respect the 7 highly. |
World record
I have never posted the 323 in the video is the fastest in the world.
Its like me going to a VTec forum and post under racing stories that I smoked (to bring as an example) a Civic Type R. What kind of reaction do you think the people from Vtec forum will have when they read the fresh thread? >> You expect all those ricers to say, ahhmm, cool; thats awesome! Once again, I just posted it so other Mazda enthusiasts can enjoy a cool 1/4 mile video clip and to show this MR2 Bozo how to approach a forum, specially when talking about smokin Mazdas. |
No safety Roll cage in MR2

9 @ 150mph mr2 http://homepage.mac.com/deadbats/9mr2quarter.wmv Correction: It is a 9.90 pass, NOT a 9 second flat pass. As you know (or maybe not) 9 is not the same as 9.90. And feel free to visit www.puertoricodragracing.com, www.carrito.net or www.lafiebrepr.com and will find out the Mazda 323 is already in the 9.90 second quarter mile time. Finally you are learning how to post, WITH THE FACTS, video facts. It took you a few days to find the video, but you did a very good job. Upon closer attention the racetrack on the japanese video is not a flat surface, it is clearly noticeable the track goes down way before the quarter mile. The Mazda 323 has the safety equipment compared to the MR2 which does not qualify for dragracing, but that is not my point. The japanese MR2 in your video clip does not have a safety roll cage. So, that MR2 is not legal or on the track. The extra weight of a safety roll cage will stall the MR2 in the 10 second times. |
come on
alright, you come on a protege page and expect to get props for beating one. coooollll. where you located at? i'll give you a try. i havent dynoed and have nt run a 1/4 yet but im willing to say your a$$ is mine if you are around VA way.

nice mods but WHY ARE WE ARGUING WITH AN OBVIOUS TROLL?!?!?!

good point

I'll take on your protege if I'm ever in VA. I don't think I'll have much
trouble with you by then considering the kit waiting for my ems sitting in my garage right now... and well enough of this defending the protege forum with 323s, that's a car well under the weight of a protege and not even using the same engine/platform. and well that protege followed me and picked the fight. and a an ex honda owner, I fear any honda that wants to race over any protege, they've earned their right. |
Honads are slow there was a guy with w Civic hatch at our school with a 1.5ltr manual and we came out of a curve on a hill beside a mcdonalds and he couldnt catch me..90% of the hondas around here cant keep with me...thas sad considering mine is an auto...maybe i wont have to deal with an auto for too much longer tho..
