Lightning-vs-300ZX-vs-350z
 

Me and my friends were doing a project for school. subject is tv production and we had to make a commercial. and the whole thing was about a perrformance shop. well my friend danny has a 2001 SVT Lightning, the other 1 JP has a 300zx Twin Turbo (dont know what year but i know its the last gen), and the other one was driving his dad's 350z. so did our commercial and then they decided to race. So it was about 12 and we went to a 3 lane street that barely anyone goes thru. and i tell them when to go and then lightning and the 350z oulled evenly while the 300zx stayed like 1/2 car lenghts behind but then i guess the turbis kicked in so he pulled closer and then the lightning kept puling on both of them and finished about 1 car lenght in front of the 350z which was 1/2 a car length in front of the 300zx

oh and by the way the Lighning has a Chip that gives it about 30 more HP and the order two cars are stock except exhaust and maybe intakes

Lightnings are AMAZING machines, they are definately bad-ass. When is that Ram SRT or whatever coming out???

supposedly i read in some magazine but im not sure, i think it said mid 2004.But u have to consider that the Srt is also gonna be $50,000 so yea thats a whole different price range righht there but its still badass

Well, I can't exaclty afford the $30k+ pricetag for a new lightning, either, so it doesn't really matter. The SRT seems to be a step up from the lightning (if that's even possible, hehehe). I can't wait to read some reviews on a comparison between the two.... :drool:

well,the huge horsepower advantage the lightning has shouldnt have made it much of a race,but you can crank up the boost on the 300zx for very little and smoke both of their asses....300zxTT 's are badass!!!

yea the kid w/ the 300zx is getting all his internals brand new and better and stronger parts this week. because he already has an upgrade turbo kit that says will give him about 370Hp on pump gas. So yea, once he finishes w/ that then byebye lightning and 350Z

Screw that. Tell him to return the internal mods and turbos so he can buy the JWT chip. The chip with boost jets will give him 360hp net. Then he can buy some test pipes and gain 1-2 bar of boost. :D Internals come after 400-500 hp.
