Kills!!!

i raced my brother's mustang the other day...i got blown. then i raced my friend's grand am...got blown again. THEN i raced this hot chick in a Honda Civic. she won, but then gave me outrageous SEX.

LOL okay, so only the first one was true (mustang). i stayed up and up with my friend's Grand Am. i don't race often, in fact i've been driving slow lately, but a lot of times, it's not the car. it's the driver

but if anyone comes to hawaii, don't drive near me cause i am a crappy driver. i'm kinda reckless, so i don't lose often. hmmm, i guess that's not a good thing...

onehawaiian September-30th-2001 10:56 PM

Mustang

until i beat my brother's mustang, i'm gonna keep posting. okay, so maybe i won't beat him anytime soon, but at least keep up for a bit. the more i mod, the better chance i have.

but c'mon, he's running over 200 horses...

damn, i don't know what i'm trying to say. :(

jking September-30th-2001 11:01 PM

If its a new Mustang I think those run like mid 15's stock. So its possible to keep up with one with the correct amount of mods

onehawaiian September-30th-2001 11:06 PM

yeah, but that's the prob. he's running stock, and i'm blowing $$$ on mods! he got a 92LX. we raced up the Pali (a mountain here on o'ahu) and he pretty much thrashed me. BUT i had more gas after that one! (his v8 drank all his!!!)

mackronym October-1st-2001 11:11 AM

onehawaiian you're everywhere man !
lol I saw pics of your car.
1) your license plate is PHAT
2) I love the sticker on your windshield

anyways i dunno what else 2 say. gotta go eat. bye

onehawaiian October-1st-2001 02:42 PM

Plates

thanks mac!

decal: nothing pisses me off more than waiting at a light and not being able to read another car's plates. that frickin' pisses me off. SO, just in case i might fall into that category (don't know how that would be tho...), i decided to put the decal on for those who can't read plates! LOL

Eric F October-5th-2001 11:56 AM

You know, I was thinking, is Kills really a good title for the street racing area? Haha. ;)

mazdaspeedwest October-5th-2001 06:46 PM

how about these:
- Slayings :D
- Street Slayings
- Traffic Victories
- The Traffic Light Grand Prix
- Red Light/Green Light :p

- Illegal Street Racing, that we should not condone or encourage, but we just can't help ourselves....

Hmm....I didn't know that the 92LX came with a V8? I like that body style though. My brother had one back in 94 and we would go cruising now and then. :) But his LX only had a V6 :(

Makaveli October-14th-2001 03:46 PM

Slayings? haha, come on man, we're not a Dragon Card club or whatever you call those card games.

Kills sounds just fine, until the day that somebody just posts
a name, date of birth and that day's date, and a RIP

That'll be the day that we need to switch the topic name hehe

I do not promote street racing, but I encourage it hehe:rolleyes:

J/k, I never race past 120km/h because it's stupid, if you got something to prove, 0-120 is more then enough, then I slow down to my cruising speed 70km/h. Never got a speeding ticket, never hit a person, never hit a car, except for once when this other car bumped into me, but that's a long story, nothing happened to my car anyways.......

onehawaiian October-14th-2001 09:40 PM

Tickets, Cops and Such

i got a ticket when i was just out of high school; i ran a red light in front of a cop (pretty stupid). but i have been clean ever since. that's not to say i'm a good driver, oh far from it! in fact, i am a terrible driver! i race from time to time, lose some win some, but as far as my driving goes, i suck. i'm reckless, insensitive and can't reverse into a parking stall!!! :p

but the good thing is, i haven't been caught yet (knock on wood). btw, how fast is 120km/h? is that fast? i know 120mph is damn fast...

i don't race often, but i know i have at least one more left (my brother's 'tang)!

yeah, his '92lx (notchback?) has a v8 in it, and he's changed a few things for more hp and all, but when i'm done, we'll go again... :D

onehawaiian October-14th-2001 09:43 PM

Names?

hey, how about "Trophies"? i like kills too, but trophies has a nice ring to it. what'cha guys think?

eeterp October-15th-2001 01:05 AM

1mph = 0.65mph

So, 120km/h = 78mph

Just wondering where you get your info so I can make sure to STEER CLEAR OF THOSE SOURCES!!

I'm pretty sure he was referring to the V6, as the Protege is certainly no contest for a V8. Hell, they give my ITR a run for my money from a roll! They kill me off the line, though.

Are you reffereing to the V8 or V6 that you had the trouble with?

i can say, that a 94-98 (not totally sure on the years) non-GT Mustang cannot keep up on the frwy. From 4th to 5th i had him and was slowly pulling away at about 110mph (maybe a speed gov, i dunno) once i hit about 130mph i was far enough ahead to say i WIN! This was not a fluke, as he tried again. Braden, who has a turbo Pro, ate us both, and can back me up on this.

Off the line, i'm sure i'd lose to a V6 Mustang, by how much, i have no idea, but i'd lose.

hehehe, it was more in the context of muff slayin....but please don't ask me to explain, as here is not the place for it :D

I only have trouble with the V8s. Sometimes I win, sometimes I lose. It depends on their mods, though. V6s are a pretty even match with my Miata, so it all depends on the launch, pretty much.

Silock!

Sorry this is off topic but, I've finally found someone with a TypeR! Ok, do you know anyone who has put a turbo on a typeR without putting in lower compression pistions?

The reason I ask is because the mazda fs-ze engine runs 10.5:1 compression and I know the typeR runs 10.6:1 compression. So, I figure if someone can turbo a typeR without lower compression pistons I don't see why I can't do the same to the fs-ze.

This may apply to Si's as well because they run 10.2:1 compression.

Yes, you CAN, but it's not advised. The B18C5 (ITR engine code) is designed as an N/A engine, and works much better with cams and ecu and even higher compression.

You could do it, but only run 3-4 lbs of boost, and get okay gains, but it's much better to do lower compression pistons.

mazdaspeedwest -- No, I'm not. I have a cold air intake, JUN header and full exhaust, no cat, JUN ECU, JUN ultralight flywheel, Exedy clutch, Apex'i VAFC, Energy Suspension motor mounts, 15" Volk Racing wheels and Skunk2 coilovers. I think that's it for go fast parts . . . I could be wrong though. There's a lot.

It's for sale if you want it :)

Nice list of goodies...:bt:

Also, do you know anything about Mark Allen's ITR? He has a JRSC on his, but im not sure if he rebuilt the bottom end. Maybe you would be more knowledgable.

I'm still running stock shocks. I don't have the car lowered enough to warrant a change. The stock ones do fairly well. When they go, I imagine I'd just get a set of Tein HAs or something similar. The tires I have are Bridgestone Potenza RE-730s. I used to have Yokohama Paradas, but they just don't grip at all like the Potenzas. I highly recommend them. I have had them on auto-x and super speedway conditions and they don't slip hardly at all (at least, as much as street tires go).

I don't anything at all about Mark Allen's R, but I imagine he wouldn't have the bottom rebuilt. I have a few friends that have the JRSC, but they didn't find a need to build up the block. Even with the 8lb pulley, the bottom end is more than able to take it. The problem comes in tuning out the overlap in the cams, because they are fairly high lift and duration for a stock system. Especially compared to a GSR, which responds much more easily and beautifully to the JRSC system. If you can get it tuned right, though, it's more than capable.

mazdaspeedwest -- Thanks :)

Thanks for the info! You didn't exactly tell me what I wanted to hear, though :( The only lower compression pistons available are the stock pistons, which defeats the point of my engine swap.

I looked at clubsi.com and they had great info on a turbo setup. How much do you think a metal headgasket would help? Basically, I want to SAFELY run 6-8 psi.

Well, if all else fails, I'll just get the mazdaspeed pistons 10.7:1 and the exhaust cam. At least I'll save some $$$ that way.

thanks again

Well, you could get a really thick head gasket, which would be cheaper, but I don't know many people that go this route without just doing low compression pistons. You could run the higher compression and run high boost, but you have to REALLY REALLY tune it.
