Honda Civic "Type R" Tied Me!!!
 

This weekend, pulled up next to a dark green Honda Civic "Type R" (The sticker on the back said so :cool: ) on 16th avenue here in Calgary, at the last intersection before Barlow and 36th st. I actually knew the guy, he works down at my local performance shop (which is where I was headed at the time.)

Anyway, we each gave a little rev, and when the light turned green, away we went. I got a really bad start, but I left some good 7 foot rubber trails on the pavement at least! :bt:

So, off we went, and right around 36th st, we both decided to back off. We were already pushing 160KMH, with traffic trying to merge on from 36th. I let him slide in behind me to turn off onto Barlow, and we played the usual game of "tag" all the way to the shop. When we got there, we exchanged the customary wave and grin, and parked side by side. I'm only running a P5 with an Injen CAI, but he must have had more than two grand under his hood. Still, he stayed right next to me the whole time.

Ah well, maybe next time I'll be able to take him off the line!
