92 dx ports vs 88 jetta
 

I raced a kid who is in my college english class who has a 88 jetta ,manual, and he said "it has a passat 1.8L dohc engine push about 180hp" mostly stock with rims and a loud ass bro speed cat-back exhaust. Befor the race he told me he has been having problems with his motor mounts so he cant jump of the line so i compensated by staking off about 2000rpms.

-Off the line i keep it pretty even (no chirps to keep it fair)
-then with my faith in the prots i slam it, redlining 1st
-2nd gear i started to leave him
-by the time it was time to shift to 3rd he was about a foot behind me.
-I just kept pulling
I gave him the hazards and it was all over.

When he fixes the motor mounts we are goin to try again. But right now i smoked him. I thought the doch would have pounded my soch since were both pretty light cars.
