Here are some photos I took on June 28, wish I could have cleaned the care first.

Granted the parking lot was full at the time of the accident, look at how big of a driveway he had to pull into!

It was a tractor trailer that hit me. He must have pushed the car down and into the curb, because the passanger side skirt was scratched up. The good thing was he stopped and called the police and filed a report. The bad thing is you have NO idea what it's like to have your wife call you up almost in tears apologizing for something she didn't do (she didn't find out it was hit until she left work). Not to mention the $4,000 worth of damage that was done.

That sucks, but at least it's repairable. Looks like you only need a new hood, bumper, fender and possibly headlight. Oh yea .. a new rim too. Just be glad it wasn't a moving accident and your wife didn't get hurt. That's always the most important thing..

Good luck on the repairs, let us know how things come along with the insurance payout and such.

Well according to the shop the claims adjuster said the wheel and side skirt are to be repaired. Trust me the insurance company and I will have a talk :Kill1: .

I just hope that no suspension or frame damage occured.

Yeah the best scenario occured, unoccupied when hit and the driver called the police.

yea you were lucky there was no more damage..and tell the shop that is quoting you that you have to have all new cause body work decrease the value of your car more and same to the insurance

It's cause his tires have nitrous in them ..

dentinger July-2nd-2007 07:50 PM

^^^ya, they make ur car go faster!! lol.

but seriously, its because his tires are inflated with nitrogen instead of plain old oxygen :P

jzoomer July-2nd-2007 08:41 PM

what..no way....what would be the reason for that

dentinger July-2nd-2007 09:32 PM

i forget why.... i think it has something to do with the fact that nitrogen doesnt expand in heat or shrink in cold like oxygen does.

jzoomer July-2nd-2007 09:44 PM

that is crazy.....im gonna try helium in mine to save on weight lol

Nitrous/nitrogen .. same thing. I was close :dubs:

Yeah the green vavle caps is to indicate that I have Nitrogen in the tires, so if I take it in for an oil change or something they won't add normal air into it. For like $2.50 for all 4 tires I said sh*t why not give it a try. As mentioned the Nitrogen does not expand and contract like air does. Also there is no moisture in Nitrogen and "they" claim it won't seep throught the tires walls as quickly.

P.S. NASCAR uses nitrogen in all their cars, it's supposed to keep the playing field level.
