Take a look at my 99 Pro coming of age!

Hay Protégés,

Go to my photo album at: http://communities.msn.com/DaveandNova/davescars.msnw
And check out the different stages of my 99 Protégé. Its in what I call stage two now. Soon stage three that will include a Mazdaspeed body kit, Rota subzero (waiting on Rishie), N02 system (waiting Protege5), and some type of wing and hopefully a carbon fiber hood (waiting on group 99-00 cf hood buy).

Looks good. Looks like you are doing just about every mod out there :D But what happened to your MP3 :( That is just sad.

MP3

That’s what happens when you let your friends drive your brand new car. The insurance company totaled it, paid it off, and then hauled it away. Don't know what they did with it. It's not at any off the local salvage yards. Was told by a shop that does mainly insurance collision stuff that since the car was new less than 300 miles, they probably take it down south and will rebuild it and resale it. So that they could recoup some of their lost money. Or that it would go to some type of auction where folks buy wrecked cars and do who knows what with. I know back home in Oklahoma there a couple lots that sale nothing but late model rebuilds from totaled wrecked cars. No warranty or grantee at those lots. But they’re cheap.

Damn, I guess "Friends shouldn't let friends drive their brand new cars". :)

Atleast the insurance paid for it, but you should of tried to buy it back from them. You probably could have gotten it pretty cheap.

I know my parents did that with one of our old cars, the insurance company totaled it then we bought it back for like 300 bucks, pulled the fender out from the wheel where it was rubbing and used the car for another 2 years.

Your pro is pretty tight , Ilike the racing seats, but that is an awful lot of red in the engine for a green car, ,, the gauge pods are frigin tight as hell ,,, damn I want my mazdaspeed shocks to

Bruce95fmla?

Bruce,
Thanks. Red that's because I'm color blind and I could think of any other color I'm working on get some chrome and carbon fiber in there.
I've got a question for ya? I've been trying to get a hold of Precision Brakes to get a upgrade front rotor kit to upgrade my front rotors to 11" or 13" if possible cross drilled /slotted rotors, using my existing calipers. I used the link of your web site no luck yet. Any idea on price, availability, and fitment? I have 4x100 hubs and I'll be running 16" wheels.
Thanks
Dave

Thanks,
It's a Z828 and paid way too much for it! Take a look at this and you'll see where I got the MP3 player, hehe! I now www.crutchfieldcatalog.com was unloading them for like $600.00 and they are the most expensive out there.
