In Israel Mazda Protege (we still call it here "Lantis") are very very populer. (Mk.1, Mk.2 and Mk.3), Actully, at lest 70,000 Protege's were sell during 1999-2003. Most of them in the LX virsion (1600cc) with automatic transmission.
there are few with 1800cc and 2000cc.

The first hand of my Mazda was "Comverse". we bought har with 92K Km in 2003.
Mayby someday I will take my cam and pic you some Mazda's, I'll promise it will be very looooong topic :)

In Israel, there is a story tells that populer cars (Like Subaru Leone, Fiat Punto, and Mazda Protege) have some nice off-road skills...


There is a joke that says:
