I echo this. I'm also not to fussy about indiglo's. But I never have been.

And I LOVE that Carbon Fiber hood!!! That is awesome!

MP3-Owner February-15th-2002 07:26 PM

Very nice :bt:
Where did you get the Hood? It looks sweet! And How much?

RODSCALIP5 February-15th-2002 09:11 PM

Thanxs..........the hood was $500 from dgmotorsports...........
the mufflers a tsudo exhaust with 2.25 piping from the cat back.

azrakain February-15th-2002 09:21 PM

How is the quality on the hood? Fitment etc....where did they relocate the windshield washer jets to?

MP3-Owner February-15th-2002 09:31 PM

Well I don't see the hood on their site dgmotorsports.com but they do have some nice looking work.
So what's the story, were you the first and got a great discount? If so then I am jealous of you :p :D
Really? $500 is all you paid? Was that with shipping? Because I see they have some hoods on sale for $595.
And like azrakain asked, where did they reroute the washers to?
Sorry for all the questions I am just very interested in this hood you have :)

azrakain February-15th-2002 09:57 PM

There may be a typo on their website. It says they make a carbon fiber hood for the Mazda MPV. That is a minivan. It was probably supposed to be a MP3. I'm gonna call 'em and will let you know what I find out.

RODSCALIP5 February-15th-2002 11:41 PM

Well actually I was the second one with the hood, they have a Protege 5 strip down in the shop thats been around here for 3 years, apparently wings west had it first and some other companies also. As far as the windshield washers, there are none, you can put some on there, but I think they look cleaner without them. And quality, you will get it , the Hood on L.J. Garcias Civic came from them, the hood that I got was so light you could hold it with one hand above your head, the fitment is just like stock.

I got the hood for $500 because during HIN they had a booth and they were having a special sell and so forth, if you buy off the internet itll cost $595 , I didnt pay for shipping because theyre right down the street from me.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOOD TO YOU GUYS TRUST ME IM REAL PICKY!!!!!!

Thanks :bt:

The car looks great. I'd like to see a carbon fiber lip spoiler on the front of your car too. Here's an example:

click the small picture for a better shot

Can we get someone to make this for us?

jsgolfer February-20th-2002 10:25 PM

like i said on the other forum, your car is the shit. hands down the best looking P5 i have seen. one question? which springs are you using? thanks.

indiglos

How did you get those gauges on?

RODSCALIP5 February-21st-2002 02:33 AM

O.k. heres the story on the gauges........They broke my gas and temp needles!!!!!!!!!! :) luckily they had theyre Laguna Seca Pacecar, so they took the gauges from that car and put it on mine. But I cam eto find out they were still broken so the shop ordered another set of gauges from Mazda. The gauges have already came in im just waiting for my day off to get them installed. Apparently those gauges are a B*tch to install, I would suggest getting a shop to do it just in case they break the needles.

As far as the carbon fiber lip for the P5 , I think it is possible. Like I said they are DGM is working on certain parts for the P5 but I cant say what they are working on.........If I say anything people will start calling and all this info is supposed to be on the downlow. But when I get the Autoexe front lip Ill take it to them and see what they can do

BTW im using Eibach Springs
