....Not the same old pix, I swear.

A few folders of pix - but I'm only posting the stuff that show my own "mods" and installs. After all, don't all the Sunlight Silver Metallic P5s look the same?

So there's a few of my current sub (yuck), some of my self-done pinstriping (*hiho breaks arm patting himself on back*), air horn install, and hose work.

More to come as more gets done - but no glamour shots of the same old crap (you know - park it and shoot it - we all know what the car looks like) - only my own unique touches, I promise.

Enjoy (or don't - whatever :D )

BTW - the Cherokee is my lady's ride. Not bad (for a truck ;) )

lookin good so far. what are you plans for the near future? i just don't get why everyone is going with red! ;D but it does look really good. keep up the good work.

hihoslva March-30th-2002 08:35 PM

Well, with the strut bar being red - I just think red goes well. And thanks for the compliments.

Future plans.....hmmm.....what AREN'T my plans? :D

But seriously - next is a custom sub enclosure for the passenger side of the hatch holding a 10" JBL sub and 2 Rockford Fosgate amps. I'll start building it probably next weekend.

Painting the calipers soon - and I will be be painting the interior "champagne" pieces a nice bright silver - along with a few other parts inside. Oh yeah, tint also (hopefully before the summer) - probably 35% reflective metallic all around.

Weatherflectors (the window-shade things - but WeatherFlectors are the snap-in style - no tape. Coming out in mid April, last I heard) and an AEM shorty intake.

And if the money is there, black and silver leather seats.

But the sub enclosure is next - my amps & sub are coming Monday, so then I can get bangin'.

*sings* If I had a million dollars.....

sounds good! :) I've got 35% "cool chrome" on my ride right now. really reflective when the windows are clean during the day. and at night, looks black. i've also got the rain guards on mine. i think they add some flavor to it. although, some people (i wont mention any names *:asshole:Wil*) think they don't look good. lol. anyway, sounds like you got somethin goin there, can't wait to see some more pictures.

hihoslva March-30th-2002 09:18 PM

Well, I want the rain guards for functionality - umm.....smoker here.

Plus I like the windows open a crack without getting rained on.

Ventshade already has a 4-door P5 kit, but I'm waiting for Weatherflectors because I don't want the tape-on stuff.

Car is awesome, but I don't like the stripes.

hihoslva March-31st-2002 05:43 PM

Stripes - some do, some don't. I dig it. And the color is very subtle, too.

No offense taken, I'm sure none was meant.

Sweedenhouse April-1st-2002 12:37 AM

Looks good man, but what do you need with that amp on/off switch?

hihoslva April-1st-2002 09:31 AM

Sweedenhouse - the switch was for my P.O.S. amp - I hate to listen to talk radio (read: Howard Stern every morning) or AM stations (traffic reports and occasional news) with the sub booming. So I just put in a rocker switch attached to the remote wire so I could shut the amp off when I wanted to. I'm hoping to install the bass control knob for my new RockFosgate amp in the same location.

Gro Harlem - The kit is NOT hose techniques - I actually got impatient and picked up a kit at a local ATV store. I don't remember the lengths/sizes, or even the brand, but you can see I covered a lot with it, and I still have some good lengths left - the kit was only $30, and I bought red wire loom in different sizes for a few bucks a package - I still have a full pack left - if I don't use it, I'll return it. About $50 total for everything - not bad.

Protégé Ménacé - thanks for the tip. They certainly do use salt on NY roads in the winter. I like the soda bottle idea, too - sounds like a very simple and free way to give the compressor some added rust protection. I'll probably hook something up like that soon. Hmm....maybe a red soda bottle? ;)

hihoslva April-1st-2002 04:17 PM

Nice, nice. My horns andcompressor are mounted in entirely different locations from yours, and the compressor I mounted sideways, but I should be able to hook something up.

I had a helluva time finding a place to mount everything when i went to do it about a month ago - I'm figuring if I had the stock intake removed, I would've found a place easier, but I had to lay the compressor on its side in the location I mounted it - the headlight harnesses are in the way. I'll figure something out - at least the threat of snow (and the impending salting of roads) is pretty much over now.

Thanks again.

By the way, speaking of Rockford Fosgate subs.... Wow

About three years ago I was in a Liqour Store when the bottles started rattling. This guy only had 2 10"s and it was so freakin loud!!! Sounded clear too, the beats that is
