Mysterious Valve Cover
 
Witch Protege Uses this valve cover???? or better yet witch motor uses this valve cover???

Its not for the Protege 5.........

The first thing that came to mind was 2.0l.
Since its advertising that it has fuel injection, I'd think that its maybe an older 2.0 cover maybe??

IM thinking its for the mp3 because you can see the little brackets on the bottom that may connect the valve cover to the sparkplug cover.....

That's a 626 valve cover guys. ;) I just painted my brother in-law's the other day for him, and that's exactly what it looks like. I think he has a 94 626 LX. I'm pretty sure that's the only car that has the valve cover. I think it's a 16 valve 2.0L. You gonna try and use one for somethign????

On the Pro5 the coilpacks are bolted down... the valve cover dont have anything to bolt to...

Hey I was right, older 2.0 valve cover.

There's 7 different versions of the FS/FP valve cover AFAIK:

early FS/FP valve cover-- Mazda version.... letters casted on them "16 VALVE DOHC FUEL INJECTION.... MAZDA".... hose/harness supports at the side of the cover
early FS/FP valve cover... Ford version... letters casted on them "16 VALVE DOHC FUEL INJECTION.... FORD" it is the oval logo.... hose/harness supports at the side of the cover
revised FP valve cover.... Mazda version... letters casted on them "16 VALVE DOHC.... MAZDA".... square casting line/marks around the spark plug holes
revised FP valve cover.... Ford version.... letters casted on them "16 VALVE DOHC.... FORD".... it is the oval logo.... square casting line/marks around the spark plug holes
revised FS valve cover.... Mazda version... letters casted on them "16 VALVE DOHC.... MAZDA".... square casting line/marks around the spark plug holes, pair of bolt holes next to the #2 and #4 spark plug holes.... part of the hump on the main part of valve cover are lower to give clearance to spark plug coil pack.... FP2 casted on the back of valve cover
revised FS valve cover..... Ford version... letters casted on them "16 VALVE DOHC.... FORD".... it is the oval logo.... square casting line/marks around the spark plug holes, pair of bolt holes next to the #2 and #4 spark plug holes.... part of the hump on the main part of valve cover are lower to give clearance to spark plug coil pack... additional bolt hole located next to the raised oil filler neck to allow #1 spark plug wire retainer clip to be installed
FS-ZE valve cover.... no letters casted on it.... has 4 studs at the side of valve cover to hold plastic cover... square casting line/marks around the spark plug holes, pair of bolt holes next to the #2 and #4 spark plug holes.... part of the hump on the main part of valve cover are lower to give clearance to spark plug coil pack.... additional bolt hole located next to the raised oil filler neck to allow #1 spark plug wire retainer clip to be installed... raised oil filler neck to allow it to accessable with plastic engine cover installed
