thanks,
about 45 minutes total it was damn hot and humid today so i did a panel then stopped. it would take longer if i didnt wash the car 2 days ago.

I really think the zymol cleaner wax outperforms meguires wax (i spent alot of my money on their stuff too) i have a system of using meguires paint cleaner, polish, then this stuff for a coat. if the weather nice saturday i might head to a mini "show" and see what people think of a stock p5.

I will take a picture of the zymol bottle if u want to see what im using.

-----edit----
If u want more pics i got em

Well im at school right now and i know it costs more than meguires. zymol has some lower priced stuff then they have some extremely exspensive waxes $444.00 for one jar of wax it comes in a wooden case, the wax has its own bag, and you get a certificate with it

Anyways ill go out today or tomarrow and see if i can find a place to buy it.

check out http://www.goodspeedmotoring.com/?page=zymol for more info about zymol and more info than you can compreihend about auto deatailing etc

KagyMP5 May-11th-2005 03:07 PM

yeah its exspenive but get the lower end stuff thats what i have and it looks better than the best of meguires imo

Zymol is about fifteen bucks a bottle in the store, if I recall.

Other good waxes include Nu-Finish, TurtleWax (ultra gloss), Eagle One Wet, and Meguiar's. I wax my Protege about once a month. On previous (darker) cars, a nice deep shine was much more possible that it was with my Silver car. Still, a few hours spent polishing it do make it shine. But man, I'll bet the paint on a blue or black car looks like it's a mile deep after the same effort.

If you don't have a lot of time to wax your ride, or want to give it a quick gloss after you wash it, I've found "The Glosser" to be an excellent product. It's basically a soft paper fiber cloth impregnated with wax, and you just wipe the car down with it.
