My FS-powered Probe.
This is my car. It's a 94 Probe with some stuff. I'm not big into appearance mods, so it looks pretty stock. Anyway, I'm new here so I figured I'd post it.

Those rx7 rims look pretty tight... IMO

Wow that looks nice! I've always liked the Probes...too bad they quit making them.

I have to run a spacer to use them, so I'm not sure if they'd work. You guys might have to space them out so far that they look like 100 spoke Daytons. :D Anyway, thanks. :) |
Wow! What a great idea. Let's put rims made for a RWD specific car on a FWD car.
How's that weight shift working out for ya? ;) |

Obviously he doesnt know what he is talking about.

[edit] By the way, the KL series engine in the PGTs are some of the BEST sounding cars when equipped with exhaust, in my opinion... Ther is a guy around here with a PGT w/ exhaust and it sounds sooooooooo goooood! I can't wait for that KL-ZE swap! |
i love your car dude! personally im looking at buying a probe, i hope i can get a GT, but i found a good offer on a SE like yours.... i may go with it and drop some money on rims right away (it has pueny 14s with hubcaps)

I'm a big fan of my Borla catback on the FS though. |

If you find a GT, go for it. They're much quicker out of the box. Most drivers can pull mid-to-high 15s stock. The 4-banger has a lot of advantages though as well... More room under the hood, better gas mileage, lighter, etc. I'm not sure what your goals would be, but, IMO, the 2.0L is better for big power. Top feed injectors, MAF rather than a VAF... Anyway, good look finding one. Let me know if you have any more questions. :) |
Alright alright, I messed up. The R1, R2 ,RS, and Type-RZ all had 235/45ZR17 in the front and 255/40ZR17 in the rear. 20mm wider tires in the back. Yours must be off a basic model .... Sorry.

Yours must be off a basic model .... Sorry. All A-spec 3rd gen. (93-95) RX-7 wheels were 16x8, no matter the model. Tire size is unimportant, as I have tires that match my stock overall wheel/tire diameter, rather than the ones that came on the RX. |
yeah, well i really just want a fun second car to go with my p5.... with some power would be nice, that and just the probe in general looks good and is fun to drive, so im just looking for a nice one mostly
oh, and ive been surfin PT.com alot lately, still havent joined, but plan on seein someone named 5SpeedPGT or 5SpeedPSE soon |

I have a 94 PGT and i love switching from my P5 to the probe, its almost like the same car in the handling department, the Probe just smokes the P5 on power.

Sweet. I've always kept my probe. It was my first car and one of the first to own one at my school back in 93. I have a 93 PGT and that's what started my whole Mazda fascination.
Well that and the fact that my best friend had a base model FC3S RX7. That thing with header back and suspension was so amazing it put my PGT to shame. Since then I kept the probe for street/audio/ and cruising, while I've gone through several a journey making the best FC RX7 I can afford. For some reason I keep adding projects before I finish the previous ones. I have three FC's, the PGT, the MP5, and the other doll my Supercharged Miata. I'm somewhat of a collector of mazdas you could say. That and bimmers. The two ultimate driving machines, that are affordable for their classes at least. hehe. Here's pics of a couple, gotta put up the others: http://groups.msn.com/AutomotiveRD/a...to&PhotoID=519 http://groups.msn.com/AutomotiveRD/a...to&PhotoID=418 http://groups.msn.com/AutomotiveRD/a...to&PhotoID=413 Whatta ya think? I have two more rexes and you can see part of the probe in the middle picture. hehe. |
Wow....... sorry to go off-topic but how wide are those tires on that white rex? 335????
in any case, quite a nice collection you got there ARD ;) If I ever make my way down to Cali, you'll be on the list of people to visit hehe |
Yup you got the dimensions.
Tri-Point widebody kit with Kinesis 18,9 and 18,13 wheels. I like it. It's in SoCal ironing out some stupid little things. Then I bring it back up here and start working the motor and such. I have my rotary diagnostic guy in Gardena and he's the only one other than a friend who I can trust the rotary with. There's more pics in the photo page. I need to add more of my other cars. I have 8 altogether between the wife and I. Gets ridiculous at times. Just want to finish them and sell them. Thanks, Rishie The other T2 FC3S I have is much more beautiful. It's a standard body and looks real nice. I gotta load those up. |
