My 03 ES with the Mazda sedan kit!

A couple of people had asked to see a pic of my car with the front lip installed, so here ya go! Sorry I only got one good pic, I was losing light and when I came in only one of them turned out decent. I'll try and get some more soon.

looks great. i thought about getting this kit a while back but i wasn't sure how it would look. too bad i just moved into my new apartment. i won't be able to afford it for a while.

macdaddyslomo June-7th-2004 07:57 AM

looks like this would fit a 99-00 also...just attaches right flush underneath the stock bumper, right??

milo001 June-7th-2004 08:41 AM

Would that fit a 01 LX 2.0??
Because if it would, where'd you get it and what was the price of it?

Prote-J June-7th-2004 10:11 AM

Milo that kit is the factory kit directly from Mazda. Go to your dealership and ask them for pricing for your car.

kargoboy June-7th-2004 12:15 PM

Looks great. I'm getting the Eibachs for mine in a couple weeks. Now I have a better idea how it's going to look.
The OEM kit looks really good with those springs!

milo001 June-7th-2004 01:25 PM

Oh ok! thanks Prote-J

03ESPro June-7th-2004 01:28 PM

Thanks for the good words guys!

-macdaddyslomo, the lip actually fits against the front of the bumper, not underneath. I believe there was a separate lip available for the 99-00.

-milo001, It will fit your car just fine, but stay away from your local dealer on it! Chances are you'll get a much better price from www.mazdastuff.com . That's where I got my whole kit from, the front lip is $261 from them.

VagaBond-X June-14th-2004 12:54 PM

is there a seperate lip for the 99-00

cuz i checked on mazdastuff, and i couldn't find it

so is there a seperate one or the same one will fit.... cuz that looks nice, maybe i need to photoshop one onto a 99-00 bumper, and see how that looks, unless someone has a pic already, that would be awesome

03ESPro June-14th-2004 01:05 PM

I thought I remembered seeing one on their site when I bought mine about a year ago, but maybe I was wrong. I'm pretty sure it won't be a direct fit to the 99-00 bumper because it actually fits against the front of the bumper, but maybe it could be made to work with some trimming.

macdaddyslomo June-14th-2004 01:26 PM

the actual shape of the bottom of the bumper on a 99-00 an 01+ reg sedan are the same...the only diffs are where it meets the headlights...there is no reason why a lower lip wont fit both

redcivic June-14th-2004 05:38 PM

Wher can I get that body-kit?

03ESPro June-14th-2004 06:44 PM

Try actually reading the post.;)

fiveseven June-15th-2004 08:15 PM

HOw much did that cost, total?

03ESPro June-15th-2004 08:52 PM

About $625 shipped to my door, plus paint. I think I was quoted about $150-200 for the paint, but I wound up having some other work done at the body shop, so I wound up spending about $450 there.

2.0GT June-16th-2004 11:26 AM

do you still have the part numbers for the pieces?

03ESPro June-16th-2004 11:30 AM

They're not listed on my receipt, but these parts were all listed in the accessory brochure for the 01-03 Proteges, so the dealer shouldn't have a problem looking them up. As said before though, www.mazdastuff.com has them on their site and has better prices than I've seen at any other dealer.

redcivic June-16th-2004 04:38 PM

I guess i should read.

Kastel22 June-16th-2004 05:21 PM

the lower portion(below the lower grille) on the 99-00 model bumper is rounded, and the the lower portion on the 01+ models are flat....I don't think the lower lip would work for the 99-00 models

amrit June-16th-2004 10:26 PM

I think it looks kinda plain, well everyone has different opinions.

sisbliss June-17th-2004 12:24 AM

I think it looks great...but then I have the same kit :D

I felt the 3rd gen looked too goofy without the kit. It looks like a totally different car with it.

never Ender June-21st-2004 08:48 PM

Oh man, I wanna nut on your car!!! :wackit:

Jebus'Protegé June-28th-2004 10:00 PM

So it WILL fit an '01 ES?

03ESPro June-29th-2004 01:03 PM

yup...01+ are all the same.

Jimmyangel82 July-26th-2004 05:53 PM

Clean. I like it.
