quote from yesiownaskyline
hoi lam ma dzi dat... (hoi lam Mazda) Meaning: Hoi lam is an island belonging to china. |
Hey, I should get that tatooed onto my arm!
(Well, maybe not the dealer name...) |
...I think I just need to get some big-ass, chrome, yankee-lettered "Corpus Christi" emblems for the back of my P5.
I say, who needs chinese characters of an island no one's ever heard of on the back of their car, when we can slap a reference to a hard-drinkin' southern Texas town on the back of our rides? Shit, I'll bet they put you in prison on Hoi Lam if you eat the worm in the tequila bottle... |
LMAO^....
Yeah I wouldnt like that emblem personaly, but it is pretty kool! |
Some older cars (think: late seventies, early eighties) have emblems that say stuff such as "5-speed", or "Automatic" on the trunk lid. Then, in the eighties some cars said "EFI", or "DOHC", etc.
I think it would be really funny to list every damn feature of my car on the ass end. Imagine chrome letters stating "EFI", "Leather Seats", "DOHC", "16-valve", "5-Speed", "ABS", "Moonroof", etc on the back end. Heck, I might even have a chrome script of the special APR that I qualified for at the time that I bought the car. |
The emblems from the 50s were the coolest, though: Glidematic, Hydramatic or whatever-matic the manufacturers called their transmissions. And the big chrome Chevy 'V' for the V-8s.
God, I love that shit. How about a big, chrome WOMP-a-matic for the superchargers, w00t! |
