its ~$650....saw a trek 4500 for the same price though and a trek 4900 for $~850

Between the three I'd go for the Trek 4900. Better fork, rims, crank, and you get a mixture of gruppo (some Deore components, Alivio is fairly recreational) so the bike will be lighter and stronger. I'd also check Marin, and Kona too. Lots in that price point.

Hope you dont mind the advice, Mountain bikings a way of life here.

tint looks nice dude! i was gonna blackout my windows, but the fine here jumped from $35/window to $70/window. and if they count all nine, that's a stinkin' $630 fine! so i decided to stick with my 35%... :(

ZackyFarms16 May-16th-2002 02:07 AM

i too just got my windows tinted meduim all around, next mod is a nice car wash and polishing....

...actually, i got 18's and ebach pro-kit coming in june (hopefully with rishies help), then work all summer and get mint blue, i have someone out there in japan willing to ship it out here and im getting it put on + painted for free, proly gonna get it molded on. Dont want to go into tooo much detail, gotta keep my secrets a secret, but expect big things, just dont expect them right away

What else do you have planned for your car?

well i just got a compustar alarm/remote starter installed and i got the B&M short shifter installed as well....

prob going for a cat back exost(sp) system next year and hopefully a turbo system later down the road

oh ya and maybe a new ECU if i can get my hands on one

bmassche May-18th-2002 09:06 PM

nightowl, your tint looks darker than 15 % I have 15% on my car
which is one shade darker than legal which is what I am told.

bmassche May-18th-2002 09:07 PM

I still wish i went i shade darker, especially when it is sunny out.
At night I wouldn;t want anything darker than what I have 15%
