That thing is fun to ride. I played with it a little last night and was surprised. If you wind it up a little, it will haul a some ass.

Very nice. That's the 250, right? It (or the 500) is a good starter bike. Don't know if you have your license or not yet, if not you can take a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Beginner Biker's course and get started right. They will provide you with nearly everything you need (including the bike) and teach you correctly. I have taken the Better Biker Course twice, and it is great. Usually the classes are taught at local colleges. Should be able to do a search and find out info. I can't find the phone number in my mags.

She already has leathers, boots, gloves and a damn good helmet. She is good to go from the gear standpoint.

Man, did you shatter your wrist.? That looks really painful.

I would also recommend the riders course it, also help with the cost of insurance. Good gear a must.

I went down a few years ago on my gsx-r 1000cc. And good riding gear saved my life. Here is a picture of my helmet.

man my wrist went kaboom...bones, nerves, tendons. too bad I dont have XRays here to scan. My doctor say it is the worst wrist fracture he has seen in 25 years.
