The sound IS really Deep now , And Screams at high RPM , it improved horepower all around the RPM range.

Does not sound like those stupid Civics at all.

looks pretty good? what about the rest of the car? :)

pimpprotege69 May-4th-2002 11:28 AM

What else you suggest I add next?? :D

protetype May-4th-2002 02:53 PM

maybe some clear corners, and some wheels :) whatever your budget can get you! hehe. j/k. you don't have any specific plans for the car?

pimpprotege69 May-4th-2002 06:41 PM

I got good tires on the stock wheels and I dont like the look of the ALteezas.

Friends don't let Friends buy Altezza's! :D Whatever you budget will allow, Exhaust is a major thing in performance/gas mileage/etc..Do you have an intake? headers? I/H/E (Intake,Headers,Exhaust) are usually the first 3 steps then you take it from there, do you wan't to lower it and put some nice rims on it? What size rims? 16's keep your performance and have good looks, 17's lose a little bit of performance look a little better, or 18's redline each gear to get moving  but look tight :D I would think on these cars, like civics and other small displacement 4 cylinders 16's would be great..I had 16" rims on my Supercharged B18c5 and didn't lose any performance, when I threw my 18's on my accord, oh wow performance went out the window, but it looked great. Just decide what you want to do with the car, all show, no go? Show and Go?

pimpprotege69 May-4th-2002 07:59 PM

How bout all Go and little show, thats what Im aiming for.

I got the intake , exhaust and tires on.

Sir Nuke May-4th-2002 08:55 PM

your exhaust looks very nice.....thank god you didn't go for the "4 lb coffee can tip look".....lol

keepin it clean..........the only way to go.....sleeper mode!!

pimpprotege69 May-4th-2002 09:19 PM

The clean look is the only and "BEST" Way to go.

Travis May-4th-2002 09:35 PM

I agree the "clean" look is the only way. My friend has a 93 Accord Coupe White, still has EX emblems, stock exhaust, stock rims, nice tires, lowered just enough..and a JDM h22a in it (Prelude Vtec) total sleeper! Very clean looking car also, its not loud at all, but pretty fast :D

what I would recommend? SUSPENSION UPGRADE!!!

struts/springs/strut tower bar/sway bar, throw them all together with some really light rims with great tires, you'll be leaving behind many, MANY cars in the twisties!!!! :D

look in the suspension upgrade section to learn about all the options you have in suspension upgrade :D

pimpprotege69 May-5th-2002 08:52 AM

Im most likely going with a strut bar first , Know where I could get one for a 2000 protege Es?

Im having trouble finding them.

ZoomZoomH May-5th-2002 09:37 PM

www.mazdastuff.com

MP3 strut bar for only $99, great quality and fits perfectly, NO cutting!

well, if you get the right brackets :D

pimpprotege69 May-6th-2002 09:59 AM

Are you saying the brackets arent right ?

It just goes right in without any problems?

ZoomZoomH May-6th-2002 10:10 AM

well, when I ordered from Mazdastuff, they sent me all the right pieces except one, a new cruise control actuator mounting bracket that allows the cruise control actuator to sit just below the strut bar.

Some people had problems with getting the right cruise control bracket from them, but they sent me the right one within a week after I called them about it.

once you have all the right pieces, everything should just go in without much trouble.

good luck!
