Cool car, I'm not a fan of off center license plates, which I hate plates period, but the car so cool it doesn't really matter.

J-Protege June-8th-2007 09:38 PM

as soon as i had the pro5 headlights in my hands, i couldn't NOT put them in. the boss was already there, all i had to do was dremel it out and stick them in. i really like the way they turned out.

did you use LEDs or some OEM bulbs? I've never seen it done before but was always interested in doing it after I saw the place where it goes

edit: god damnit I just realized I don't have contact information for ANYONE that is going to be at the glen today.. and since we don't have a central parking area I'll probably never find you guys.. maybe the parking area is small enough that I can just drive around until I see zoom zoom?

kargoboy June-9th-2007 08:34 AM

I like it...the rain makes it look cooler. I never see anyone with HID fogs, it kind of surprises me.

the city lights are half led / half OEM. the socket is OEM in the OEM place. (the boss is actually there on the USDM lights, you just have to use it) i used the oem socket, which happens to be the same socket as used in the sedan corner location, with an led bulb. (one of those "matrix" led's)

my buddy and i had a blast yesterday at the race, we're sorry we missed you - i would have liked to see your protege5. did you make it down at all? there wasn't that many people there, compared to say the nextel race. the camping area was very sparse, and we ended up parking down at the "hairpin" turn (its not actually a hairpin, but looks like one on the map) we met up with ray and the rest of the crew, but then went back off to our parking spot to watch the rest of the day.

edit: if i had thought before hand, i would have given you my cell phone number. (sorry, i wasn't thinking much before hand)

thanks for the group buy, i REALLY like them in the fogs. i'm now using them when its still light out to see, but not light enough to have confidence knowing that others will see me coming.

and, i mounted the ballasts in the fenders, behind the bumper, up in the wheel well with double sided 3M trim adhesive. i hope it hold well over time, but i'll probably keep an eye on it to make sure.
