I like the rims... not not that color ...

I hope you all know that the paintjob on the other side of the car is completely different lol --- so sad.

I agree with everyone for the most part. But you gotta give the guy a thumbs up for effort. He TRIED to be original. He TRIED to make his car one of a kind. Like I said, he tried. As for the wheels, I think they were a great choice. I have the exact same ones only mine fit, his are on the big side. Don't dog him TOO much for trashing one of the most talked about car in the new millinium.

To me its not as bad as y'all make it. It looks okay to me. (of course I don't think I'll do that to my car) and it shows originality and creativity. I'll give him props for it.

See what happens when you shave your door handles. You have to keep the windows rolled down all the time, even in the rain. :D

:laugh2: Yeah, I don't like shaved door handles. My friend had some on his integra. I didn't like the look, but it was pretty sweet how he opened his doors with a remote. Another reason I don't like it is you have to hide a button on your car to open the door if your remote runs out of batteries. If someone finds the button they easily get into your car no sweat.

man I don't know what ya'll are thinking...besides the wing and the paint that P5 looks sweet...

DrPepper285 October-13th-2002 11:11 PM

Hmmm ... I actually kinda like it ...

But I'm not really feeling that "wing" or whatever the hell that is ...

titocruzsd October-14th-2002 01:36 AM

the flames and tribal design don't really mix. i'm also not feelin' the the two different paint schemes on both sides of the car. like someone else mentioned, there's just too many paint ideas. i'll give him (or her) credit for the effort though.

You guys don't understand the difference in the three scenes that exist in the car world. And obviously he was going for one of the scenes: SHOW!.

3 CAR SCENES:
1. Show - car is modified for car shows, where the wildiest paint, wheels, suspension (bags, hydros, coil overs), interior and stereo install. Points are given for originallity and new inovations. (car does not have to be shown formally to fall in this category)

2. Race - Minimalist, weight reduction is a must. 'Nuff said!

3. Everday driver - Fits most people here who drive their car everyday to work or school. They modify their car a little to personalize it with things such as wheels, lowered suspensions, mild lips/body kits, mild engine mods (intake/exhuast). Some race cars may fall in this category such as SPEC MIATA or some AutoX cars.

That guys Protege5 is awesome if you look at it as a show car. Crazy paint job, outrageous wheels and many other things. Kudos to him and the people who identified his intentions with that car. Its all about the cars purpose in life. Some could point the finger at the people who bought a Protege5 (READ: STATION WAGON) and filled the hatch with speakers, completely nulling its practicality. I personnaly loved the look of the protege5 and love my music so I have one space saving sub and amp installed. Sorry for the length, but those posts were pissing me off.

Nicely said. Another example are trucks. Making a truck a low rider is VERY IMPRACTICAL, but most people do it for show, not for the practicality. Its your car, do what you want with it.

Even tho crazy rice cars irritates me, im not the one looking like a fool :D
