03 P5 Vs. 84 Lincoln Town Car

 Look what this bastard did to my 4 month old P5!
GD old man ran a redlight..... didn't even know it was red, or that I was in the intersection. "the sun was in my eyes" he said. I said to the cop, :red:WTF!!! The sun was behind him!
The cop just shook his head.

I don't even want to know what it's gonna cost to have fixed. But I'm gonna know Monday:(

Like my father would say.......you just can't have anything nice!

MarkSpark March-29th-2003 08:46 AM

I'm going to say that's going to cost $3,000, maybe more. Sorry about the accident man. At least it wasn't your fault.

PS...lemme know if my estimate comes close :)

Those pictures literally turn my stomach. If that happened to my car I would of had to fight myself back from tearing that old man into a million pieces! Won't your insurance pay for it? My god , it wasnt your fault!!!!

Ouch man that sucks...I almost got side swiped by a Ford Explorer...we just pulled up beside the SUV when all of a sudden it started heading into my lane. Luckily I noticed in time and honked my horn and she steered back into her lane...when I could get a glimpse of who was driving, it was a 70+ old lady!!! They gotta stay off the roads!!!

Hell, I had to fight my self to keep from crying! I'm sure my insurence will cover it. They have always been real good. (nice plug for Amica) I'm having it repaired at the mazda dealer here in town. I want all Mazda parts on it!

By the look of it, you are pretty lucky. It seems like he got you pretty hard, and was only 3 feet or so from tagging you in the driver's door, which would have put you in a much worse situation.

Um, it was not your fault and therefore the old man's insurance should cover it. Also, not sure how good your mazda dealer's repair shop is, but my friend got his done at the local Mazda Dealership and from the outside it looks good, but when you open the hatch he has a horrible welding scene. Granted I have heard of many horrible stories about this particular dealership so maybe you will have better luck.

As far as people almost side swiping me, it happens all the time. I live in the New Orleans area, where not knowing how to drive is the thing people are taught. I find more soccer moms on cell phones putting on their make up enjoying almost taking me out more however, old people just like to drive 40 on the interstate.

MarkSpark April-1st-2003 07:21 AM

Thats nuts because it looks like the only damage was incurred to the door and trim. What else are they fixing?

Maz94Protege April-1st-2003 09:01 AM

OUCH
