WTB: resistor block (for blower)/ rain visors for 1st gen 323
 

i need the resistor block for my 323 (92 DX)...

rain visors for 1st gen ...

Resistor block? What's that? I have a resistor for the blower motor that I bought years ago, brand new for my Protege and before I even used it, it turned out it wasn't the problem, It was the blower itself. Do you have a pic of what you're talking about?

no dont have a pic.. its suppose to b under the blower motor... the speeds of my fan.. positions 1 n 2 stopped workin... 3 n 4 is fine.. thts y i need a resistor block or watever its called tht controls the air flow!

I called the dealer here also too see what their price is. What price did they tell you and how much are you offering for mine? I will only sell it if it's a reasonable offer. Sometimes it's not even worth selling if the offer is too low because of the hassle of mailing it. However, I do want to make sure you get it cheaper than the dealer. Hope we can make the transaction.

the thing is.. i cant find out if it will fit for the 92 323 DX... i called the dealer n hes like he doesnt know (n the freakin guy wont even gimme the part no.)... so can u find out somethin ?

Call back and at least ask how much the resistor for your year car is. Also, did you try taking yours out and seeing if it's the exact same look as mine? If it is, it probably works for you. I'm glad you're trying to make sure though because after you buy it, it's yours to keep. I have sold other parts off this car to people with other year models and there's been no problem. The only thing that for sure does not work from my 94 to the 90-93 years is the head lights and hood and possibly the front grille but even the grille may fit those years. Once again, I don't see why it would not work.

ok the resistor is 55 canadian dollars for my car plus taxes n all... next thing..ummm ne how-to-dos to pull the resistor ?

I changed the blower on my Protege a few years ago when it went bad but I can't remember exactly where it is. Don't worry because it's easy as pie. The blower is located under the dash under the glove compartment. Just follow the cable(s) that leave from the blower to the resistor. That cable has a plug on the end that goes into the resistor socket(seen on pic). You then just take off a couple of screws and pull out the resistor. The cables are usually blue.
