WTB: Carbon Fiber SRI or CAI

I'd like to get a carbon fiber intake for my sedan. Any clues onto where I can get one, and about how much one will run me?

yeah man... check this thread out.... dont know if he still has it but it is worth a shot... oh yeah if you have the 2.0... not sure if your year was 1.8 or what. I hope it will work for you. http://www.clubprotege.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9937

Nah he sold it.. Thanks for the info. BTW, the 1.8L hass all the same components (as far as I know) as the 2.0 except for that the 2.0 has a larger stroke (That's what she said).

if it deosn't have to be carbon, then look at cartoka.com, an e-bay online store that has a nice 2 liter intake...

Hmm.. Looks good, you know of anywhere that I could get one with a white or black filter/connectors?

Yeah, I'm definately interested. It's a little bit out of my price range right now, but it shouldn't be for too long. I'll keep in touch. Thanks

ok - but keep in mind that the one you were looking at buying was $200 and that was for a short air intake. ours are better because they're seemless.

FlyinHawaiian071 September-3rd-2004 10:10 PM

yeah, that's a huge plus. What sort of warranty comes with the intake? What is the HP gain off of yours? How hard is installation (do I need to re-locate anyhing?) Etc. I'd like the full story before I buy it. Also, have you sold any to anyone else and if so, could I have some contact info to get some owner feedback? Thanks.

the X September-3rd-2004 11:45 PM

did you want my life story with that, lol?

seriously though, this is the first one we have made, it was on our car for a day and was fine.

owner feedback, lol we are not a part of fortune 500, we are very new and small.

not sure about relocateing anything, it's the same as the injen cai.

why a CF intake?? what are you hoping to get from a $200 intake that a $60 ebay intake can't provide? If you just want the look you could always wrap the ebay intake in that faux CF tape and line the seams up at the bottom where no'one will see it.

FlyinHawaiian071 September-4th-2004 01:17 AM

What is this tape you speak of?

Roddimus Prime September-4th-2004 01:48 AM

i dunno....i was in autozone and saw this CF sticker-tape stuff....you can just cut it out and stick it to your dash....things like that.

FlyinHawaiian071 September-4th-2004 09:59 AM

sounds kinda cheap... How does it look?

the X September-4th-2004 12:24 PM

looks cheap too, fake vinly is crap, how many hoods you seen in fake cf?

as for ebay intakes, how many people you kno have them??? then ask youself how many people have a seemless cf intake;)
