WTB: 3rd gen Shift lever and bushings
I'm looking to buy the original P5 or Protege' sedan shift lever (the one with the extension) and the bushings that go with it. I may have to return my car to stock in the near future, so I want to have them around just in case.
I'll have those available when my Kartboy comes in.
actually, you'll only have the lever available. The bushings I'm speaking of aren't the ones that Kartboy makes, but rather the bushings that hold the shifter in it's position. They surround the pivot ball of the shift rod. Therefore, I pretty much need someone who's installed the B&M since it replaces the lever and the bushings.
umm.... when i installed my b&m shifter i used the stock bushings at the pivot ball... I've got the stock lever though, how much are you looking at spending?
I suppose I'm a little confused on how you could have used your existing bushings with the B&M shifter. The B&M comes with its own, self-contained bushings. Are you sure you're talking about the bushings at the midway point of the lever, not any other bushings?
Ohhhh, pivot ball, i thought you meant pivot ball at the bottom where the rod connects to the shifter. But yeah, i do have the bushings you're talking about, don't know if I've still got all the parts though...
See if you have them. If you do, let me know what you'd like to get for them.
hey hawkeye, i just got the b&m shifter. are the kartboy bushings worth the 25 bucks?
yes, the definitely firm up the feel of the shifter.
