For sale 99-00 KVR crossdrilled rotors/ES calipers

I have for sale a set of KVR gold plated new cross drilled front rotors for an 99-00 ES 1.8L Protégé with four lugs $150.00 plus S&H. http://www.kvrperformance.com/world/...ossdrilled.gif http://www.kvrperformance.com/world/world.html
For all you 99-00 DX and LX 1.6L owners I have a set of ES calipers painted red which allow you to use the bigger ES 10.5" in diameter rotors compared to the 9.4" that came stock on the DX/LX. If you are 1.6er and want the ES calipers and KVR rotors the price is $200.00 plus S&H. ES calipers alone $75 plus S&H. Calipers are painted with high temp red caliper paint and included pads. http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...f/fddf7267.jpg

They are yours but you will also need the ES calipers so that the KVR rotors will fit on your 99 LX. THe KVR rotors will not work with the stock 99 LX calipers becuase the stock 99' LX 1.6L Engine has 236mm Fr. Discs and the KVR rotors are the diameter of the 99' ES 1.8L Engine w/ 259mm Fr. Discs. http://www.kvrperformance.com/world/world.html

oh, will the caliper and rotors fit under the stock steel rim?
Yup sure will I had them on a set of 14" Borrets.

I’ll have the money in hopefully under 3 weeks
No problem if no one else bits they are yours when you get the clams.

Hey biknman!!

I am down for these brakes, I need some bigger brakes behind my Koseis.. I would be taking the rotors + ES calipers + KVR pads

Also, this isn't the evil combo that will self destruct over a short period of time, right? :D

Would you be up to (if you still have these on the 27th) selling them to me + helping me install them in person on the Tech meet July 27th at Derrick's Shop? I could be there around noon (remember, I'm driving 260 miles each way from Connecticut!.. good for break in of brakes!)

I'll have the money for them by then, definitely.

Please let me know ASAP.

thanks..

Since blue LEDz can't commit then they are yours. They will not self destruct as long as you are not raod racing with them and get them up to like 1800 degress but any rotor would not be able to handle that. We can install them on Saturday but be sure your here as early as you can so we have all day we will need to bleed the brakes. I'm installing my coilovers so I'll need most of the day myself to get everything aligned right after installing the coilovers so that I can race my car sunday. Plus I need to help another guy install and exhust sytem.

Wow.. I forgot that's just a couple days away.. Saturday!

Yeah, I'll take them.

Gotta take money out of the ATM tomorrow.

I'll see you Saturday! Noonish or hopefully a little earlier, with $200 in hand!

Make sure you bring the rotors, calipers, and brake pads? Ok? I'm gonna be driving 500 miles total mostly for these :)

thanks.

tradr No prob!

tradr,
No problem I will be there with everything. You want to stay around and go to the AutoX with all us on Sunday? I'm racing in the morning as is Hank and I think Derrick. If you wanted to race you could probably easily get in there is always empty slots.

Since you seem to have a customer for your items I am doing research to do something like this as well.

What exactly did you replace to upgrade to the ES brakes.

mazdaformance.com has the calipers, but I was told that I would need to change the Brake Proportioning valve from ES to LX to correct the braking bias.

Thanks in advance.

To upgrade from the LX brakes to the ES brakes I just got the ES calipers, rotors, pads, and lines the car braked fine. In the service/parts manual for the 99 Protégé the DX/LX/ES there is no difference in the brakes that I can find except the front caliper and rotor being an inch bigger in diameter. Which means more braking surface area meaning more friction to stop the car faster.
My current brake setup is stock rear drums and Wilwood 12.5" front two piece front rotors with Axxis Kevlar pads, stock LX calipers, Goodridge Stainless Steel lines all the way around to include Flying Miata SS clutch line, and ATE 5.1 brake fluid, and the car stops TOO DAMN GOOD!
Good Luck,

how's the turbo running?
AWESOME! :bt: Boost is very addictive infact when the boost kicks in and the torque hits its like woo nellie! I need to get in to the Dyno and the 1/4 track for you guys so we have some numbers what its doing. At the AutoX it was perfect in second gear around 2500-4000rpms I got massive drive all over the course it what I really wanted out of the turbo setup. In fact around one big sweeper into a tight slalom it was to much speed to quick kept freaking me out cause I wasn’t use to that much torque form my car that quick.
