Motegi rims for free (well, for trade anyway)
 

I have an '02 Mazda Protégé which, when I bought it used, had some custom rims and wheels on them. I'd like to get rid of them and go back to the original factory size (or comparable). Neither my wife nor I are performance freaks, so we don't appreciate the 17" wheels and would rather go to something more economical. So if you have a similar-sized car and a desire to "trade up" to these custom rims...

The rims that are on there now are Motegi wheels, 205/40 17. The tires on there are Toyo Proxes, and are nearing the end of their useful life. They are 4-lug wheels.

I know these Motegi wheels are worth quite a bit of money, but I just don't want to go through the hassle of putting them on eBay and then having to ship them. I'll offer a straight-across trade to a basic set of factory rims/tires to anyone who wants them who can offer me a set of rims and tires which would fit this car. Whoever takes me up on the offer will have to document and picture the wheels+tires that they are swapping for me, and will have to travel to meet me. I'm in southern Nashville, and will drive up to an hour in any direction to meet you.

man i wish i still have my factory wheels..this is a good deal...free bump....

i have the factory wheels from a 2002 lx 4 lug, with 2 month old tires on them.... i'd trade, but i live in east texas... it would have to be a little more than an hour drive.

Bummer Celticbass, I wish I had the time to do a road trip. I've driven the Texas->Nashville stretch many times (used to live in Dallas). It's a good 10-11 hour drive depending upon your speed of course. :)

i have six stock mazda protege 15" alloy rims. i am in tupelo, MS. this is a little way to drive but is this what you are interested in first of all? Also, the tires on the rims are practically brand new. how old are the tires on the rims you have?

Henry are your rims 4 or 5 lug?? I'm looking for a pair of 15" 5-lug alloys or steelies.

they are 5 lug 15" alloys. please take some more detailed pics of the rims if you would please. cause i just bought the stock ones and they were a pretty penny.

I'd ship you my stock 14" steelies with wheel covers if you would ship those to me.
