Looking for a 1.6L Engine 3rd Gen

I am looking for a 1.6L engine from a 3rd gen protege. I would prefer if it was a running one, but it at least has to be rebuildable.
If anyone has any ideas on where to locate one let me know.
Thanks

may i ask why a 1.6? why not the 1.8 or 2.0?
i jus think the 1.6 and the slowtege 1.5s are horrible.

but as i think of it, the 1.6' might not be that bad, im going to look up some specs:dunno:

One of the main reasons I am looking for a 1.6 is that it is a perfect swap for mine. I have a turbonetics t3/t4 hybrid turbo super edition for the larger boost levels. Except before I install it I want to have another engine on hand in case I blow the one I got. I ordered some titanium connecting rods and pins with forged pistons. So if anything happens I can pull the engine and swap it back with a factory one so no one will be the wiser.

eeterp message me the condition of the 1.8L, how much you want for it, if you got a spare tranny and ecu, and I will let you know.

Net Seven same basic deal as above, but if I am not mistaken I think your engine is basically the same as mine. So if you got a spare tranny and ecu let me know.

Thanks

Net Seven don't worry about it beacuse it will not mount properly under the hood of my 3rd gen. I just went by the dealer and talked with some of the mechanics I know that worked there and they said I would have to modify my engine bay. Gro Harlem is right there is some differences in the way they mount to the tranny and in the bay.

Thanks Anyways
