What gauge are these things made out of?? Also I might have missed this but, are they stainless steel or aluminum or something else?? Thanks...

protegeboy78 April-8th-2003 11:53 AM

its 1/16th guage and it said they are alluminum.... i've been waiting over 3 weeks for mine to arrive, it is depressing..... do we have to worry about these rusting and if so what can we do to protect them? spray clear coat on them or what?

adarrell April-8th-2003 02:22 PM

to my knowledge Alum. doesnt rust so u wont have any problems with that.

protegeboy78 April-8th-2003 02:32 PM

i didn't think it would but try not to make assumptions about stuff like that

protegeboy78 April-10th-2003 02:56 PM

well this satureday will be a month since i paid for these things and i am still totally in the dark on where these are, i've emailed them numerous times and the first two times recieved emails back with info that wasnt' helpful, does anyone have a phone number i can call to find out what happend to my floor mats.

duncanslx April-10th-2003 03:19 PM

Protegeboy, where are theese people located? Thats not cool to do people like that. If you paid with a credit card, Id charge it back.

I have wanted to order this floor mats for awhile now. But have felt insecure about ordering them. I email them about 3 days ago and still no response.

i realy want these bad cause i haven't found anyone else that makes them for the 2nd gen, if its taking a while cause its a special order i wish someone would just tell me and give me a solid time to expect them. i dont watn to B*tch and moan but thats 100 dollars i'd rather not loose i dont' have cash to just through around.. if i get them and they are good i'll be the first to tell everyone but until them i'm withholding any good words

protegeboy78 April-14th-2003 07:23 PM

Well i still haven't heard from them and they havent' posted in here either so what's up? i've called them a few times also and their voice mail doesn't even give the company or persons name just the number that you called but i left messages and have recieved no response, i mean there could be a totally good reason for this but unless i hear it i'm going to be getting a bit frustrated.....
has anyone ordered these and recieved them?

someone i know from another forum ordered them, and received them in a timely manner, although i think he ordered straight from the company. i believe that adarrell guy just sells them (dealer) for the company.

protegeboy78 April-16th-2003 11:55 PM

Well i am getting very frustrated... i have still recieved no word and have no decided that unless i am contacted by friday i will begin to file fraud charges with police in the town of the business and contact ebay and try and also contact the other boards since they are trying to sell these there also

protegeboy78 April-18th-2003 09:06 AM

just to let you guys know i may have found a legit company that does these... i am looking in to them they aparantly do early pros and are now doing some of the later ones... if they prove to be good then i'm going to try and either have one of the club members in their area go into their shop and have the floor mats made of take pictures and then do measurements on graph paper for them price will be a little more but the quality should also be better... plus they actually exist

aluminum doesn't rust at all under normal conditions like car floor mats believe it or not. 1/16ths is a thick width, not too pliable and should last a long time. they use aluminum on air craft, lawn chairs, fencing, siding, but what you must realize is that just like a lawn chair, aluminum will eventually oxidize and that nice shinney look you have will wear out, so the only way to keep them looking shinny is a good wash and polish every so often.
peace
ps. reliable or not, these are with in my budget, i just want to hear someone's feed back before even considering ordering $100 dollar floormats, no offense

protegeboy78 May-6th-2003 06:46 PM

don't buy these, its a rip off you will never get them
