Hey Matt,
Just curious to know what the gains are for a flywheel like this..

Topher February-2nd-2005 09:42 AM

i have a 9# flywheel...quicker acceleration in 1st and 2nd...no way in hell you'll see 10-30hp gains.

centsless February-2nd-2005 12:16 PM

fist off, how can you get any gains by reducing rotational inertia..

I mean, reducing the flywheel would defineatly make the car accelerate more quicker, and coast down much faster, but that is not horsepower increase.

Topher February-2nd-2005 12:33 PM

by feeing up the lost horsepower used to turn that heavy piece of cast iron...which is why most people have a lightweight flywheel and underdrive pulley

Roddimus Prime February-2nd-2005 12:34 PM

the engine spends less energy turning the flywheel so i can spend more power turning the wheels.

Matt, I'm assuming that you don't want to buy the flywheel anymore.
I'm pretty reasonable with price, i wanna get rid of it, cuz i need the money to pay for my motorcycle accident.

talkin about freeing up more horsepower, to be applied to the wheel, increase in whp. More power the ground. Get it now.

sorry, didn't mean to poop on your thread, just wanted to clear it up so it didn't look like a fraudulant seller or anything.
