'99-03 Protege AWR front/rear engine mounts

1 Attachment(s)
Forgot about these when I listed my other items. Front/rear AWR engine mounts w/70 durometer inserts. Mounts were used for 11,000 miles. I am also including a set of never used 88 durometer inserts. I went with filled stock mounts instead of these.

Not sure what caused the slight discoloration around the edge of the rear mount inserts, the material is not breaking down in any way.

$70 shipped in the lower 48. PayPal or US Postal money order only.

So you used the 70 durometer.. how was the 70 in the rear.. control the engine movement enough?

I ask because I have a 95 rear waiting to go in (running the 95 front and the side inserts currently.. and not sure if I'm ok with a much more vibrations in the cabin.. but my driveline lash still sucks because my rear mount is just dead).. and I'm wondering if the 70 would be 80% of the stiffness with way less vibration.. I just don't want to swap 70 durometer bushings into my rear mount to install it only to find out the engine movement is still sloppy.

bump for an AWESOMe price too.. I just paid $195 + shipping for the front/rear and side inserts (side inserts are like 40 dollars new)

Yeah, I had no issues with engine movement (and I do the occasional jackrabbit start complete w/wheelspin). I had these installed along with the side inserts and decided to try NSN Motorsports filled stock mounts. Ended up liking them better so these are up for grabs.

You prefer the NSN mounts because of reduced NVH?

I currently have the 70 durometer mounts, but need something for the side mounts. Would the 88 durometer inserts be sufficient for the side mounts?

The inserts listed here are replacements for the bushings in the front/rear AWR mounts.. AWR does sell inserts that go in the stock side mounts, and they're GREAT. You won't notice more vibrations if you already have front/rear AWR.. you'll hear the transmission more though, it's kinda fun.

Oh, okay. These inserts go in the front and rear mounts if you want a different durometer in the actual mount, right? How much are the inserts that AWR offers? Sorry for the threadjack.

Back on topic!

Yes. The AWRs didn't bother me too much, but my gf drives the car most of the time now since I got the Speed6 so I did it to keep her happy.

You mean the side inserts? They're $45 at protegegarage.com and other places.

I feel your pain. Happens to me all the time, but I usually find something I want just after it has sold.

Stuff's going on msprotege.com tomorrow so speak now or prepare to fight the masses.
