3rd gen: Eibach springs, AWR 3/4" stabilizer bar, etc.

I've completed the Racing Beat stabilizer bar and springs installation, so I have an extra set of Eibach Pro Kit progressive coil springs and an AWR 3/4" adjustable rear stabilizer bar I'm not using. I'm also considering selling two sets of wheels. The stock '00 ES alloy wheels with Bridgestone RE92 tires and a set of five 15x7" Borbet type S wheels with Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 205/50R15 tires. Only 12K miles on the car, so somewhere around half of that on each set of tires. Very good tread left on both. Also have a brand new set of Porterfield R4-S front pads.

Eric, how much would you consider parting with the stock alloys for?

nyczmp3 March-24th-2002 12:28 PM

are the eibachs the same size as the mp3 springs???..if they dropp another 1 or so illtake em....let me know

Eric F March-24th-2002 01:02 PM

I want to sell them with the tires, which still have very good tread, so I was thinking around $400.

The Eibachs lower the front ~1.2" and the rear about ~1.5" or so. They level the car very well and provide more lowering than the stock MP3 or Racing Beat springs.

how much you want for the awr bar is that the one with the new endlinks or is the one that hard as crap to get to work right.

Eric F March-24th-2002 06:42 PM

Some people have reported problems with clearance with the stock end links with this bar. I had it mounted on the stiffer setting with the bar passing under the lateral links with no clearance problems. Since it is a low volume custom part, there may be differences between pieces. I had no problems with mine though. It includes the stabilizer bar, aluminum extension mounting brackets, and poly bushings. You reuse your stock end links. It's not a wear and tear item and works same as new, so how about $125?

Which wheels? I'm in the 60202 zip code. I can weigh the wheels at home and get an estimate from UPS with your zip code.

Raptor April-3rd-2002 08:36 PM

Eric I'm interested in AEM Short Ram, for the 2.0l, I guess it is the one for the Manual Transmission.

I'm in Canada, How much would be shipping by USPS airmail ???

Let me know

Raptor

Raptor, the intake isn't very heavy (~5LBS), so I would guess it wouldn't be very much for shipping. I'm not very familar with USPS shipping costs or methods. Can you be more specific about which method and where to ship to?

Raptor April-4th-2002 06:25 AM

Hi Eric, here's a URL going to the USPS website.

for a 5 pound package to Canada.
Shipping internationaly is not affected by distance between the point of origin and the destination point, it's standard.

http://ircalc.usps.gov/speed.asp?Cou...nue&Contents=1

What would you think of 150$ including shipping via airmail ???

Also if you have a picture of the intake that would be great.

Let me know

Raptor, according to your link, it looks like it's about $20 for air mail shipping to Canada. I'll split the shipping with you, how about $160 shipped?

Raptor April-4th-2002 11:45 AM

Seems like a good plan.

Please email me at Raptor_Protege@hotmail.com and will work out the rest of the details.
