I have a damaged 2006 2.3L Mazda 3 engine for sale. It has 48,000 miles on the engine and became damaged due to low oil problems. Before it was swapped out the engine ran okay but had a loud knocking & rattling noise. I am taking offers on this and it will be sold "as is". In upcoming weeks I will inspect the engine closer to assess the damages further as long as nobody buys it first. I will have more photos available as well. Interested buyers are welcome to inspect it as well. Included is the head, valve cover, pulleys, coolant pump, timing chain/gears, overhead cams & fuel intake system: manifold, fuel rail, ignition coils & injectors. The intake manifold is from a donor engine and has minor cracking damage which may be patchable. Not included is the oil pan, timing chain cover, other pumps & exhaust manifold. I am considering offers on the entire engine at this point and of course it will be cheapest if pickup can be arranged.

What would it take to patch the manifold?

My guess is that a little epoxy could patch it up. The punctures are about 1 inch and a half inch.
