Yikes! This was ugly...
 

After lunch today, I started the car and released the clutch pedal... Yikes... Forgot that the tranny was put to 1st gear :mad:
The car virtually jumped (e-brake was not released) and stalled :(
It was ugly.

at least you had the E-brake on....you could have ended up somewhere you didn't want to be with big ugly dents in your car...and someone elses too.

Happens to the best of us at least once...

I did that once with the E-brake off in my Scirocco and destroyed an antique rocking chair my mom had in the garage. That was 14 years ago. She still hasn't forgiven me.

Ive done that too. I dont leave my car in gear when I turn it off, so Im not in that habbit. My dad takes my car every once and a while to do errands if his is stuck, and he always leaves it in gear so Ive jumped it like 3 times cause of him.

our 86 Subaru wagon (mine for a while) did not have a clutch interlock on the ignition, more than once mom jumped it forward... of course I also drove it... they never figured it was me that put the first big dent in the freezer in the garage :D or maybe it was just all of us hitting that poor thing :)

I happened to me once and even though no one was looking I felt like a complete moron, you live and you learn I guess.
