Why can't we be friends?
 

Given the recent "problems" concerning Protege Forum(s), I can only suggest that unity, in this instance, is much more powerful than a replication of resources. I do not intend upon taking sides or instigating further consternation, but however, from my perspective, this is ridiculous!

I think a round of apologies, group hugs (and beer) as well as a "meeting of the minds" to improve the "POOR-TE-GE" community and the electronic venues of discussion (i.e. Forums) are a necessity. All involved should take a deep breath, and relax, and remember why these Forums exist in the first place.

From a geological vein, in my experience, fractured rocks do not support weight, and ultimately, fall down!

Well put Fossil Boy...and I agree 100%.

there have been things said and done that just need to be forgiven and forgotten.

The fact is....that the server that our forum resides on got hacked, and that was not the fault of the forum owner, and he was at the mercy of the host company just like the rest of us.

its very obvious that our happy home has taken a beating over this...as it once took me nearly an hour to go through the board and properly mod the sections I watch over....and now it only takes me about 20 minutes.....

All I can say and hope for is that the all the members of all the forums will be mature about it and continue to have a bond between one another and not hold any grudges. As stated before....NONE of this was our fault....but that of some hack messing with the hosting company of our borad.

well i left becuz of the fact that everyone was walking around like they were on glass, some still do, and that everyone that was knowledgeible(sp?) was leaving, i cant have a lack of info when i need it the most, im going to where its at the info and sorry but its on the other forum

It's better than other forums I am on, as far as help. You can ask a question here and it is answered. I am on a cell phone forum, you ask a question and no one helps, and the guy who wanted to help out wanted me to send him a payment over paypal! Talk about fucked up.

It was a long couple weeks when the forum was down. I found myself checking out other forums and was not as pleased as I am using this one. Hope we get all the members back that we had before this incident and get the threads flowing again.
