What are people thinking when U buy this crap

What runs thru someone’s mind when they buy stupid things like the following: Colored Tire tints, Lighted tire valve stem caps, lighted exhausts? I must be too old for this new wave of accessories

Probably the same thing as when people buy blue headlight bulbs... They are just about as useless...

Was that a smack? If so I'll admit the Plasma bulbs aren't brighter the factory, but the Xtreme bulbs light up the road much better then factory. It may only be the way the blacktop absorbs the light, but it’s overall much brighter

Not intended as a smack, but more like a reality check. I think I would take tire tint over $80 bulbs that arent as good as stock. Yeah they appear to be brighter, but when they infact have the same output as standard bulbs, just focused to a smaller beam... Just offering the flipside to your comment...

I find you just can't convince people that they aren't really brighter. I mean just cause some moron focuses the beam, walks up with his light meter and says he look, it shows just as many lumens as an 80W bulb. Doesn't mean it is an eighty watt bulb. I admit they look brighter, but they don't spread as much light.

While we are on the subject, aftermarket HID's are with out a doubt the biggest waste of money going. 1) it is almost impossible to aim them properly. 2) these bulbs actually throw out a wavelength of light that does not reflect colour well. Which means you will never see that brown deer standing in the green grass on the side of the road at night. Halogens imitate sunlight the best and hence give you the best type of light your eyes need to see.
The P5 comes with the newer H7 bulbs which throw something like 3300 lumens compared to H4's which give I think 2800. So actally P5's come with what is arguably the best lighting available in a car.

just my $0.02
