What is with people these days?

I was going 75 in the fast lane and this dumbass gets right up on my ass, I mean 2" away and has his flashers on. So I move over for him and as he is passing me him and his passenger are pointing and laughing and his passenger is flicking me off. wtf?!?! So I put in 3rd gear hopped up to their speed and gave em the finger back. They got all pissed off and floored it  I was in 4th and had about 4k to go til 5th so I was fine. I gave it some more gas and paced em, this made them even madder, I waved goodbye and finished up 4th and was at 130mph, I was way ahead of them. They caught up a few mins later when I was exiting and tried to throw something out the window at me, but failed to hit me cause they were 2 LANES OVER :D They must have been 16 yrs old, maybe a tad older, not much though. It seems we are getting more and more idiots on road.

i guess they thought they wouldn't see you again so they decided to balls it and flip you off. they're a bunch of little panties if you ask me.

ppl rarely have window antics here, cause the island is really not that big and chances are you'll be seen again.

hehe yea they flicked me off and floored it alright :) But my car is a tad bit faster than theirs :D

5SpeedP5 Jun 16, 2002 01:15 PM

lol some kids, hey, im 16 almost 17.....but not a dumbass like most kids my age, especially behind the wheel, i have my fair share of experience after being in various driving and racing schools since i was 15, that and while i was 15 i put in over 500 hours of logged driving time with a experienced qualified driver......

but you know, if i saw your car travis, id give you a thumbs up, not a middle finger.... but thats just me, if i see a car i like, i give them a thumbs up, and usually get a nice smile or wave back!

anyways travis.... great to talk again
email me sometime@ aforeman@alltel.net

Sorry to generalize bud, I am 19 and have also been through many racing schools and respect others on the road. Its just these stupid asses who only care about getting to their friends houses or to the parties faster that irritate me. Partying is not everything, and when you graduate from High School you quickly realize that. They were spiffed up and prolly going to a party, the car was obviously not theirs, and they are lucky I didn't take it a step forward and run them into the median, lucky for them I was having a good day :D

5SpeedP5 Jun 16, 2002 02:22 PM

I totally agree there!

leungwingkei Jun 16, 2002 02:44 PM

I just think most kids today don't think about their future, not that many have one anyways.:D

Travis Jun 16, 2002 03:41 PM

heheh so true. The Youth of today seems to be going downhill. I mean, the amount of people we are losing to street racing, drugs, etc is rediculous! Its all about whats cool and whats not. I was the only one out of my group of friends that actually went to school after high school and isn't doing drugs/drinking/smoking etc as a Job/hobby. infact I dont do either of that at all!

I agree, too much violence these days and parents arent teaching them the dos and don'ts about life.

Im not here to understand this world, but i do know that teens dont seem to be making the right choices these days, but there is always the few that do, and make a diffrence.
I have spent the last two years loosing friends, that i have had for almost half my life, to drugs and crimes that arent even something that seemed to be them. It seems so sad at times, but i have just had to stand up and keep going in the right direction as i always try to. And heck, no friend is worth screwing your life over for....
If any of you knew me, id be the type of friend you had that is always there to help, and seemed like they are perfect (though im not, thats for sure.... i have my good share of problems)... and spend alot of time working (kind of explains me paying for my p5 completely).
Some kids dont understand what the consiquenses of doing certain things are... weather it be flipping someone off, to drinking one beer, or smoking one cigarette (been there done that, and im glad to say i got rid of that).

What are kids coming to today? Im one of these teens, and quite frankly i dont understand it..... but who cares if i do, i just do the right thing and move on with my life

BLAH BLAH BLAH, sorry if i went on and on, but thats how it goes. :D

You know if parents would spend a little more time with their kids it wouldn’t be a problem. I don’t think programming should be changed just b/c of the lazy Asses that don’t want to spend time with their kids. And would rather have the TV do the parenting. That is the problem. If they are going to watch TV the parents need to know what they are watching. Remember having a kid is a choice that rest of us shouldn't have to pay for it. Anyone wants to have a kid that’s fine heck that’s great. But think about it before.
I don’t blame the kids. I blame their parents.
