not bad!, If its a lemon, you could sell it for a profit

I think its a nice project car.. but not a daily driver . The front looks modded with a ugly vent kit or something get it strip it throw a 13b turbo in it and race it like a maniac ..Jon 93 lx/gtr
|
thats not a vent its a front bra, well piece of one. it looks like the base modle, from the rims. how many miles??
|
290,000km
at 190,000km, new engine so about 100,000km on new engine one problem is that he lives an hour away (closer to hour and a half away) think its worth the time to drive down and ge it especially consdie5ring all the damn snow we got up here in the toronto region of canada |
Ur right thatis the bra i would take it if i were gonna make it a race car .. jon
|
whats that in miles like 90 thousand miles?? at like 100 thousand miles the apex seals are in need if changing. so you might wanna think bout that. over all it looks good depending on any body rott. and dents. but for that price you cant go wrong. i would buy it and fix it up if it was me. in my opinion. i had a 1986 rx7 gxl, same car it was a blast. fast as hell!!!

I think its a pretty good buy.
|
everthing is in kilometers
yeah i might get it. or wait abit...and save up for a turbo II for next summer plus i don't wanna buy it now....winter coming...and i won't be able to drive it...well I don't wanna drive it in winter. so next summer for a 1988+ TII preferably a S5 so 1989+ TII would be cool....i should have enough for it then I wou;d have gotten it...but its just a bit too far away...and driving 1 and a half hours in this snow is just too much my dad was looking for a quick cheap car...so I suggested this...but he got another cheap ass GM for $600...which he just wants him to last through the winter |
We are looking for a Turbo 2 rx7 and they are hard to find and expensive 4500 plus for a good one. Im not sure but i would think it would be easier to engine swap use the same tranny and get a haltech e6k ..Jon

On an n/a this is far from true, heck even TII's. 13B-rew's even usually go past 120k miles. I have 3 n/a engines running with more 130k miles.. the highest being ~160k miles. Maintainance is the biggest thing with a rotary. |
yeah well my experiance with them , they go at 100k. i had an 86, and around 100k they go. i also was friends with a guy who built them for racing, and he too told me they usually go at 100k. but im no expert. just a guy who experienced it.

If they are run hard they will go at 100k im told ..Jon 93 lx

Not saying it isn't possible, and doesn't happen, but that that is normal? riiiiiight. Thats why of the 4 I've owned they ALL had well over 100k miles on the original engines.... |
DO IT!
