what digicam do you own
What digital camera do you own , I am trying to decide between a cannon G2 and a Fuji A602
I am leaning toward the canon , Nikon has one that is pretty good, also but I need it to do movies with sound bruce |
i have the fuji finepix 2800.
it is a 2.1 megapixel camera which will record 60 second avi's as well as allow you to annotate individual photos with sound. the thing that is so cool about this camera is that it has a 6x OPTICAL zoom which you will struggle to find anywhere on a camera in this price range - in fact i dare you to try! it is small and can also be used as a webcamera. fuji have a reputation for true color and i love this camera to bits. if you look around you can get some great deals - it cost me $329.00US plus shipping. good luck in your search. |
could you show me some pics that you have taken with the camera , I want to see what the pics look like, I wanted to get a finepix2800 but the dumpasses on 34th street would not even give me 350 for my canon eos ellan 2e QD with 28-80 and 70-210 and a 1.5X converter, so on ebay it goes and i will try to get the new fuji S602
could you post a pic that your camera has taken ,. I like it but there are some shortfalls to it you can't adjust the apperature or shutter speed you can't change the iso speed I need to be able to have exposure compensation and bracketing , the later my not be needed.. I would like to have a hot shoe flash mount ,, for a more flash .. Bruce |
I own an old school Kodak DC210 Plus Zoom digicam. I'm a big fan of kodak digital camera's. I picked one out for my sister for Christmas and it's been awesome too. I've never had a complaint about either camera.

these two were taken at 1MP (original file size about 650k). at 2MP, file sizes are around 8-900K i think. i have reduced these by 50% and saved as JPEG so you'll have to take that into account - if you want to see the full sized ones, then i can sure email them to you but posting them here might be a little naughty. i had an eos before this fuji and i loved it to death but just didn't use it fully or enough. yeah it sucks that you can't change the iso rating - but at least it is 100. you just have to remember that this is supposed to be a "budget" version of the 4900 so a lot of the functions are automated and yeah, the flash isn't that great but its good enough for what i need. i think it does a pretty good job of compensating for over-exposure....... I know nothing about digital cameras, but I went to look around for one and see how they are......The person working in Best Buy recommended a Sony digicam (don't know the model) for $500.
Do Sony make good digicams, because my speakers and head unit for my car are Sony and I am disappointed in them. |
while i don't have any firm evidence to back this up - just what i remember from when i was researching my camera, i would call sony digicams - average. their proprietary memory stick or whatever they call it is expensive and, well, proprietary - not like the smartmedia or compactflash memory you can pick up anywhere.....
as far as picture quality goes, average....the big three in mainstream digicameras for picture quality are canon, fuji and nikon but are we just too picky? if you like the camera grab it. for $500 i think i'd be looking more towards a fuji finepix 4800 or something like that but i'm biased towards fuji picture quality. realistically, the sony will be fine unless you're a camera nut, i'd just be concerned about the memory stick issue....oh yeah - and find out how you get the pictures off the camera - i have a usb cable that just plugs straight in to the camera so i don't have to manhandle the memory card. |

yeah that damn camera ,canon is sharp as hell ,, do you have any day shots with it , of like landscapes or so forth , just to test the depth of field and sharpness

here is a pic taken of my baby cousin , when she was a newborn almost, and just learning to walk ..... I took this with a fuji digicam that was pretty basic but a cool cam , it was a sub megapixel , 850,000 to be exact ......
