You know, I haven't been part of this club for a long time, and I'll be the first to admit that I don't know everything. It seems to me that there is a strong brotherhood(sisterhood for ya chics) amongst us, and if you have a question someone here is willing to give their knowledge to you. But as I read through these posts I see something that is bringing this club down....(some probably know where I'm heading on this one) it's this anti-rice sediment. I for one am not a ricer but I am not going to give someone a hard time for being one...Hell most people here aren't even ricers, but just because they like something that a civic driver likes they get labled as a ricer....Adding some mods to make your car to make it look better or (in your opinion) sound better , doesn't make you a ricer....Having the attitude that most Civic/Integra drivers(I say most, because I know not all of them are ricers) have towards other imports is what makes you a ricer. This intolerance is just stupid....people ask a question and get flamed for asking or even liking something??? I mean come on...this type of crap reminds me of this dude I went to high school with...pushing religion on people, because of what he believed to be right.....Just like others here flaming others because they feel that Rice is not the way to go. Every one is entitled to their own opinion...So why try an force your opinon on them... I say be proud you are a Protege Owner..do what you like to your car... YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT not anyone else(cept your wife or GF..OR both:bt: ) As matter of fact...I have my exhaust on order...it's a Borla Spitfire.....Am I a ricer?.....uh no I just think the exhaust will look and sound good...
Look all I ask is that people just lay off with this "I'm anti-ricer, I just can't tolerate it." We are all here for a reason...I extend my friendship because we all own Protege's , I'm here to help if I can, who's with me on this?

that's very true.....what pisses me off is that everyone has a different definition of a "ricer" ..............
for some decals make you a ricer.........for others street glow...
for others exhaust......for others interior paint.....
then I am the biggest ricer out of them all and yet I don't consider myself a ricer....

My thoughts are that if you own an civic or a domestic trying to be a civic than you are one. I think that we should change it though to anti-civic. Civicer? Man I just hate those things. Cavaliers too. Neons too.

what's so bad about Civics ??......very reliable cars.......I wouldn't buy one because everyone has them, but I have nothing against Civics........some of them look really nice when they are "riced up"

I guess i'm a ricer all the way then. I've got 17" rims, h&r springs, aftermarket exhaust system, window tint, cf 'altezzas' and soon just your basic everyday CAI as soon it gets here in the mail. not to mention the fact that my car is slow as hell. rice4life i guess. ::shrug:: my car doesnt sound like a bee, or a 'fart'. and it's not lowered incorrectly, and the offset on my wheels is correct. does that cancel out my riceness? strange. who cares, rice or not... to each their own. we should all just be one big happy yet slightly disfunctional family, without the stereotyping. :D

if you had a Civic, instead of a Protege everyone here would think that you are a ricer..............

well here in BFE no one knows what rice is beside the stuff you eat at the old choke an puke, china gate on broadway. so i dont see it every day. and really it doesnt bother me. And most of my close friends have never and will never own other then a US built car. I tell them different. but thats about it. not going to hate them b/c of it. or any civic owner until he cuts my ass off on the road. haha

the above is all just a bunch of crap i just threw out b/c i forgot again what i was going to say. im starting to day dream more and more each day. damn im screwed.:(
