went to the mazda dealer to check out p5's

So I stroll in the 2nd gen to the White Plains Mazda dealer after taking a Pot test .. So I get on the lot , there is only 1yellow p5 , wich looked pretty sweet , but my favorite color is blue hence my next car will look as such ,,... anyway i get to the door and the door is locked , what is this noone here ,.. lol where is everyone and it is like one o'clocklol. anyway I check out the p5 and I am like hmm sweet , has the chrom rims and all , but then I get to the sticker and I see the damn car is 20 grand , and I am like for what ...... I look at the option list and sure enough the car started at 16g's and with all the extra's it was up to 20g's , I was like damn this is crazy ... anyway I walk some more and see a 4 door es pro with the 2.0 , and what do you know ,, the cost is what 16,4... and i was like wow ,, that was a good price for a es to be honest , I honestly think the p5 is nice but for the money ,,, I am wondering what the difference is , cause you have a hatch on the back and options they want to charge you an arm and a leg ,.. both cars are nice don't get me wrong , but I am still wondering if my next car will be a mazda , I was impressed with the es pro though for the money , but I would like for my next car to have at least 6 cylnders and a base hp of about 200 , so I may have to step up a bit , plus I should be dropping about 14gs cash so financeing another 10 may not be a problem , but I am still wondering wheather to get another pro or what ,,..
I also like the

Why are you looking at the sticker price? Go to edmunds.com and run a report using their costing.

You can probably get that car with all the options for around 18.8K and even that is pretty high.

Bruce95FMLA,

Can I just ask why you'd drop 14 large in liquid for a vehicle?

With the depreciation on vehicles, that's a fast goodbye to a lot of dough. Why not finance one at next to zero year-end percentages (if you're gonna keep it a while), and take a trip around the world with that stash!

VW VR6, or A4 would be my choices
but then you'd be def. looking at dropping 14 grand down, just to keep your payments low.

Form those I would chose the Type S CL, the car is very comfortable and fast. I did 110 and though I was at 80. THe car is completely loaded and the only real option you can get is the Nav so you basicly always get everything with the base CL type s. The car handles well also plus the HID are F-ING incredible. Not to mention it has the highest resale value aside form the lexus and it is a hell of alot faster, Hondas reliablity is always a plus when comapred to VW and Audis typical issues.

I would get a VW but get the Jetta instead of the Golf. Probably the GLI VR6 with the 6-speed. They have great interiors, good handling, and are a lot cheaper than most of the cars you listed (not to mention that the Prelude is supposed to go EOL as soon as the new Accord coupe takes off).

Only problem, Jetta's are made in mexico.
