OK....I finally splurged and bought myself a really FUN ride...I still have the Protege 5 as my commuter, but nothing like the feeling of AWD & BOOST in the same package! Whatcha think:

Good choice. Looks good. Just get the base model or did you add some options?

Nice car. Don't like the grille and the blue rims though but overall really nice.

Sure, keep your Scooby. Wait till I get my dream car..
Buick. Grand. National. |
So whats done to the car. Im guessing you bought it used because of all the extras on it. I see atleast an aftermarket exhaust. So how much was it? All in all good choice

Buick Grand National. niiiiiiiiiiiiiiceeeeeeeeeeeeee. I wish i could get one... raw power.

Subaru and Buick
I agree! The Grand National is one of the coolest cars ever made. On the actual topic of the forum, I agree with leungwingkei about the rims, but not so much the grill. However, it is one of the nicest cars on the road, and damn does it move. I'd also like to know how much you picked it up for, if you don't mind us asking. I REALLY wanted one when I got my P5, and I got the P5 because the front was very similar. However, I was amazed at the P5's interior compared to the WRX's. They are very, VERY similar. Good luck with it. My friends father has a Subaru with 200k on it, so it should be a pretty dependable car (knock on wood).

I don't know much about the grand nationals other than they're turbo. Are they all automatic? Automatic and heavy-assness would definately let it get pwned by a lightweight car that's probably pushing 300(or more) to the wheels (sr20det @ 12psi).
None the less, they are bad ass... But the WRX is also hella-sweet, dude! |
Thanks for all the feedback.
leungwingkei: The grill is the UK version, the rims are gun metal, not blue hotrod0001: I bought it off a good friend for 19k with the STi body kit, grill, and STi exhaust, MRT springs/KYB struts, Whiteline 22mm sways, I just ordered the Vishnu Stage 0 Unichip, GFB 50/50 Blow off valve and the Cobb Tuning Up/Down pipe. the rims are Buddy Club p-1's with Advan rubber (got the JDM parts hookup). The car is sooooo much fun, picked it up about 10 days ago, and already managed to put 1500 miles on it :D Too much fun! Later DD ________ Yamaha Diversion specifications |
It's a great car. I like the rims......I don't like all the other ricer stuff on it like the skirts and all that. There's nothing very good looking about a WRX but it's a great performer.

I seem them with 500+ WHP, that's pretty bad ass for a small block V6 from the late 70s.

Man, Double D, how much money do you have?! You got a P5 that is no more than two years old, and now you get a WRX with lotsa goodies? I wish I was you...
It's all good though....my friend is giving me his '96 Deville (pristine condition - Northstar V8)....I can pimp that sucker out! No damn wire wheels or chrome fender trim...... |
