Washington state Comcast/AT&T cable customers!
 

I just noticed on my most recent bill that my "promotional package" was deleted leaving me with the full cost. When I called and inquired about this I was told through the billing department that comcast has cancelled all promotional packages.

Furthermore, I never recieved notice and on comcast's website (www.comcast.com) it clearly states (http://merger.comcast.com/Merger/FA...ry_4_158_0.html) that everyone who has any change will be notified 30 days in advance with the details of the changes. Well I was never notified so they are trying to stick me with an extra $24.03 this month....additionally my orginal promo was supposed to last till July with only a $5 increase in service costs which is obviously not going to happen. $100/month for poor quality TV reception and broadband internet is not cool.

Anyways, I am curious if this has happened to anyone else. I contacted the legal dept for Comcast and left a message already. I would like to know whether or not I can show that they did this to many people without notice.

Don't feel bad, I'm living in Tennessee and I pay 140 a month for my Comcast cable. I've also got high speed through them. Every time I get my bill I think that it can't be worth it.

Why does the government bother Microsoft and not cable companys, they are monopolies too. Only they raise thier prices all the time. Since I've lived in this apartment (less than a year) the cost has gone up over 20 dollars; 2 increases. I guess they figure that if they do it slowly no one will notice.

yeah, same deal here in IL, stupid comcast a holes raise the price unless you have cable tv, damn it, 57 a month isn't the 46 I used to pay.
