Very Important Info on WheelMax

For those who have ordered wheels from the crappy service of wheelmax.com, I want to inform you that they have filed BANKRUPT. So, if anyone as ordered wheels from them recently and haven't receive them as yet, you better pray you get them.

So, if anyone has ordered from them and has not received their wheels IT IS ADVISED that you cancel your order immediately.

I will keep bumping this so as many people as possible can see this.

I just got off the phone with Wheelmax and asked them about an bankruptcy, the salesmen and the office manager I talked to both stated that the company is not in bankruptcy nor is it close. They said that this is a rumor started by competitors. My critical mind says "What else would someone say" right?

Called WheelMax again spoke to another person who said that this information is inaccurate, they are NOT bankrupt, he said that the protege thing was because there was a dispute between them and the customer and that they are lying.

I tried to set up a wholesale acc. with those clowns and it took me almost 2 weeks to get in touch with someone in their wholesale dept. I hope they go under.

Well, all I know is that I got my info from *2* different performance shops.

I don't think they would just make it up.

Wow...does anyone know if they are filling chapter 7 or chapter 11?

Their prices seem way to good to be true...any official clippings of their bankruptsy paperwork?

hihoslva August-2nd-2003 07:36 AM

Isn't a bankruptcy a matter of public record?

This "rumor" should be able to be confirmed or dispelled easily, I'd think.

they are running a sale "again" on exel rims. they didn't even bother changing the title for the browser's window, it still says "4th of july sale".

some good buys though if you like those rims.

redrims August-2nd-2003 02:16 PM

Well until I know for sure, I'm not taking any chances.

SEA_P5 August-2nd-2003 04:43 PM

Are there any trustworthy companies that sells rims online?

Trying to save some dough...I don't want to buy anything in state because of our superhigh 10% sales tax, which is crazy.

I was actually interested in buying some rims from them...but if they suck and will not get me my product....

It is not worth my time.

http://www.tirerack.com everybody knows that link, but they're prices are competetive, carry some nice brands...and you can get tires to boot. plus they have links to warehouses all across the nation, so shipping wouldn't be much (bout 27 bucks from the delaware warehouse to be shipped to philly for me).
peace

Yes, www.tirerack.com is extremely good. I've ordered a couple things from them. Gotta love next day delivery:D

The only thing is that they don't have a wide variety of rims, but I trust them 100%.
